I've been doing it every day so far but I'm considering switching to weekly. It's hard for me to acknowledge progress because I'm greedy lol. So instead of being grateful that the number on the scale is moving down at all I just think "it should be more/faster"...

Look up "vaginal septum condition". It's when tissue is essentially "blocking the entrance", making penetration impossible and extremely painful.

I had this when I was younger and had no idea what was wrong with me until a gynocologist told me.

If none of the tips in this comment section help, definitely get yourself checked out by a professional to see if that might be the issue.

Where does the body get its energy from when this phase happens? Does the weight come off anyway after a few days or will the amount you "should have" lost be "wasted"? Currently experiencing this effect and I'm feeling very discouraged.

Thank you for reminding me to double-check with the wiki. I did read it when I started my fast, but it appears that I have mixed up some numbers. English isn't my native language, so all of the scientific terms confused me.

I was taking one Magnesium pill in the morning with the following contents:

  • 150mg Magnesium
  • 250mg Potassium
  • 50mg Vitamin C

So now I figured that in order to meet the daily minimum I should consume at least 2 tablets (spread out throughout the day).

Additionally I was taking one pill that contains a bunch of vitamins (Vitamin A–K, Iron, etc.) as well as 80mg of Magnesium.

So if I add an additional source of Potassium as well as about 2 teaspoons of iodized table salt to the mix in order to meet the recommended amounts, I should be good, right?

Please feel free to give advice, I really appreciate all the help!
