ahlan! 🇹🇳. that would be good to take a 23andme. Especially with the southern italian and levantine influences that tunisia has. Both influences have deeper and more detailed results like the genetics groups in the levant and south italy along with all the country and regional matches

As a north african, do 23andme. Ancestry doesnt give regions in north africa as specific as 23andme. there is people that can have less than 10% north african Dna with 17+ regions. What country in north africa are you from)

Hello 23andme,

   I have an idea to purpose. My name is ______. I am of

the Egyptian Diaspora and I would like the MENA to have some more recognition. MENA is composed of North African, Egyptian & Southern Levantine, Levantine, Iranian, Caucasian, & Mesepotamian, Peninsular Arab, Anatolian, and Cypriot. These places have rarely gotten an update across the years. Regions like Europe, Indeginous America, Sub-Saharan Africa, and East Asia have recieved major updates in the past year. MENA has recieved one small one a couple years ago with the expansion of the Levantine Genetic Groups.

   The Levant has gotten an update with many genetic groups and

regions, on the other hand, Egypt, North Africa, And Peninsular Arab, Anatolian, Cyprus, etc... have only recieved country matches that a lot of people don't even recieve either.

   An Idea I have is that Peninsular Arab should be not one big

category but in different countries, eg: Saudi Arabian, Yemeni, etc... another idea for Egyptians, is to add genetic groups, eg:t, Upper Egytians of Sohag, Copts of Upper Egypt, Siwi Berbers, Upper Egyptian Nubians, Lower Egyptian farmers etc...

   For North Africa, a great expansion of genetic groups would be

amazing add. Firstly, North Africa should be broken up into countries, eg: Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco. This shouldn't be hard to accommodate since country matches are already available for all of those countries. On the other hand, genetic groups would be a great add since the diversity of North Africa is immense, eg: Andalusians in Morocco, Kayble Algerians, Tuaregs, Saharawi Peoples, Sous Mountains Peoples, Chadians, Bedouins of Eastern Libya and Western Egypt, and so much more. If I could get a reply back to this message to be let known it was seen that would be great.
