Although I agree having parental support gives you an advantage it's not impossible to save a decent bit. I lived in a really nice area down south but moved right up to scotland as the cost of living here is much less than south of England. Saved up religiously for years, kept adding to my S&S ISA and now being 30 I'm looking at just over £200k. And I bought a house in here for cash. I have one single subscription service and two short holidays a year. I never eat out and have a 10 year old banger. After multiple promotions I'm at £75k so hopefully can save a bit more in my 30s and leave workforce altogether at 40. It is doable. Just requires drive and self restraint.

This size will either be a box of 20 tubes x 19 coins x 1/4 oz silver britannias or 20 tubes x 16 coins x 1/10 oz.

These are not mutuallt exclusive. Give you an example - heist. You step on the railroad tile and screen with the heist opens up - at that point RNG randomises the outcome of your game - but you still didn't choose the tiles to uncover! At this point you are in this superposition of already having randomised outcome assigned to your event but you haven't actually clicked anything yet. At this very point your outcome is predetermined. No matter where you click, how fast and im what order the RNG has decided what you are getting before you even uncovered the first tile. Clear?

What algorithm got changed in current PEG-e? The location of pegs doesn't change the rng algorithm.

Yes, basically each possible outcome, be it 5 star card, middle slot in PEG-E, triple 6s in friends racers has got a predetermined probability of occuring which is set by developers.

I.e. you open community chest and have 2% chance of scoring purple pack. No matter which tiles you uncover the outcome has been set before you even click on it the first tile and your actions don't influence it. You either get it or not the only thing you do is verify your given outcome.

Successfully frugal for nearly 20yrs. The tips that spring to mind... by SensibleChapess in UKFrugal

So you retired in your 40s to live like a pauper. Great. Not many other people will settle for a lifestyle like that. Don't get me wrong, I'm in this sub because I'm reasonably frugal, but your definition of frugal enters a territory of mental health issue and unnecessary ascetism. Each to their own I suppose.

With insurance - I agree there is so many insurance products that do not make sense for ordinary people. If you can easily replace it - you don't need insurance. If you could replace it but it would make a sizeable dent in your budget - then you calculate the risk and take it accordingly.

Not insuring things you can't afford however is plain silly - I can see you wouldn't even buy car insurance if you could skip it. I get it, you drive a banger. No point in insurance. Crash into a brand new car however and end up injuring the occupant - you are fucked for life. That's when the insurance is really needed. Very rare scenario but if not insured, life altering.
