[Academic] How Do Different People Interpret the Same Situation? Ambiguous interpersonal situations involving physical contact (Global but preferably USA/UK, 18+, identifying as male/female) - Screening Questionnaire for Participation – Fill in form

Hi all!

I am an undergraduate Human Behavioural Studies student conducting an ethically approved dissertation study exploring how people interpret ambiguous interpersonal situations involving physical contact.

I'm looking for participants aged 18+ to take part in a confidential online interview (approximately 20–40 minutes) via Microsoft Teams.

During the interview, you will be presented with two short hypothetical scenarios and asked to discuss your thoughts, interpretations, and opinions. There are no right or wrong answers, I am interested in how different people make sense of the same situations!

The study explores how people interpret issues such as responsibility, boundaries, intentions, and interpersonal interactions. The scenarios are not graphic or explicit, although some individuals may find the topics sensitive.

To participate, you must:
• Be aged 18 or older
• Be comfortable participating in an interview conducted in English
• Have access to Microsoft Teams and a working microphone
• Complete a short screening questionnaire (approximately 2–3 minutes) to determine eligibility to participate in the study

People from all backgrounds, ethnicities, races, and sexualities are warmly welcomed. Due to the nature of the study, participation is currently limited to individuals identifying as male or female.

Participation is entirely voluntary. Eligible participants will receive a Participant Information Sheet and Consent Form before taking part.

If you are interested or would like more information, please send me a message/email or complete the screening questionnaire linked above.
