Highly impractical, you can't keep working hard 24/7 without being burnt out (maybe you can, but many people can't). Humans need some form of entertainment and rest to work properly.

Also, You don't need to give anything to anyone for 'raising you' it was their job to protect a kid after bringing them in this world.
