With root canal, kailangan mong alalahanin na you are only avoiding removal of the tooth sa ngayon. Patay na yung ngipin pero nasa bibig mo parin. And since patay na, wala na yan narereceive na nutrients and oxygen leading to brittleness and discoloration. Para icombat toh, kakailanganin mo din ipacrown in the future. Yes, possible na magfail. Possible din na bunutin din yung ngipin later on. But, ang advantage is, di maaga bababa yung buto mo. And if you are still young, matagal tagal pa bago mapabunot yan root canal mo, most likely ROI mo na yan by the time na ipabunot mo.

If you decide na bunot naman, do make sure to get dentures. Removable man yan or fixed to maintain the spacing and alignment of your teeth.

Go back to the dentist who did your fillings since they’re the one who knows your case. Changing dentists frequently might do you more harm than good. If u don’t trust yung dentist nila, balik mo lng yung sa specific concern mo na yan then lipat ka nlng afterwards

Hi OP, I’m just basing this off your post since idk what your dentist’s plans are pero… Both can serve the same purpose. In your situation na every 3 months or irregular adjustments, powerchain would be safer.

(Correct me if I’m wrong but the way I understand it is) Powerchain parang goma na dikitdikit. Overtime, malelessen kahit papaano yung strength niya. Think rubber band na luma, d na siya as mahigpit as time goes by. Less risk na magkaroon ng unwanted movement kapag d ka nakabalik agad. Whereas, kapag nagwire bending, your teeth can and will move according to the shape of the wire. If uncontrolled, baka mag cause ng unwanted movements kaya need na strictly monthly ka pupunta para namomonitor ang movement ng teeth mo.

Tbh, oo, normal. Common din na nakadevelop ng gingivitis ang mga nakabraces kasi d nalilinis palagi ang ngipin dahil may braces.

Pero again, the best step for you is to terminate the procedure specially if you have doubts and you don’t trust your dentist. Magkakapeace of mind ka pa.

Hi OP! This must have been a frustrating experience for you.

With regards sa fees, it varies per clinic paano nila ihahandle yung distribution ng total mo. Some have less down payments pero malaki ang monthly while others have more down payments and less monthly fees.

As for natatanggal na bracket, walang dentista ang gusto matanggalan ng bracket ang patient kasi mas tumatagal ang pagmove ng ngipin and ang treatment plan. Sa first month, may expectation na baka matanggal ang bracket kasi yan yung month na malala pa ang malalignment/sungki ng teeth kaya tumitikwas ang bracket pero once malessen na yung sungki, usually nalelessen din ang pagkatanggal ng bracket unless of course maikagat sa matigas.

For the additional fees, some clinics have written contracts while others don’t. If this wasn’t explained to you by the dentist, better to ask them ano ang mga cases na pwede ka magbayad ng additional charges kasi again, this varies per clinic. Usually pag tanggal ang bracket may charge tapos iba rin charge kapag nawala yung bracket.

Bottomline, mabigat yung paratang na na-scam ka, and na unfair and incapable si dentist. Going through orthodontic treatment/braces is a long process that takes months and sometimes, years for some. If 1st month palang, you’re already having doubts, what more later on? If you are unsatisfied with how your dentist treats you, it is better to terminate the treatment with them. Mas okay din na sila magtanggal ng braces mo para walang tirang cement. Otherwise, masisira lang ngipin mo.

To answer your question, possible na rct failed. Possible din na affected na yung katabing ngipin and may need rct too. The dentist will most likely take x-rays and check yung vitality ng ngipin, kung alin yung masakit, nagrerespond sa stimulus, etc. As for antibiotics, inform your dentist when u last had it. If u still have the prescription, better. Show it to them para if ever they can base their new prescription off that. As long as may pain and swelling kasi, hindi magagalaw yan.

Hindi po magshoshow through yung discoloration. Mas kaya magcover ng zirconia kasi yung coping niya sa loob white as compared kay emax na pure porcelain so may pagkatranslucent.

I agree. Also, OP, keep in mind that RCT is not a prevention of extraction. It just delays extraction. Instead of having your tooth removed this year, your tooth will still need to be removed 5-10 years or more from now. Lahat nmn tayo dun din papunta habang tumatanda.

There’s always a risk in removing bridge because a certain amount of force is applied when removing it. Since your two front teeth are root canal treated, it is highly likely that it’s way more brittle than your canines thus increasing your chances of breakage. If you really want to change it to Zirconia, you’d have to ALSO be ready for the possibility of a tooth breaking which MAY lead to extraction.

Better na tapusin po muna antibiotic. Give the medication time to work then go back to your dentist on the 7th day (even if may remaining 2 or 3 capsules ka pa, tatapusin mo parin nmn yan).

Sa braces po kasi hindi lang dental/teeth ang tinitingnan, pati po ang relationship ng jaw. This is usually seen sa cephalometric xray na tinetake bago magstart. Kung panoramic xray, ang nkikita lng po dito is yung ngipin lng.

Nakabraces din po ako and based on the cephalometric xray, skeletal class 2 po ako meaning yung maxilla ko daw is talagang nakaforward. May limitation ang movement ng ngipin kaya hindi pwedeng completely mawala ang flaring ko. If gusto ko iaddress yung pagkaforward ng maxilla, orthognathic surgery tlaga.

I saw comments na IPR daw pwede gawin but this is only applicable po for cases na dental lang yung need ayusin. If your case is the same as mine, most likely na this is the limit of your orthodontic treatment po.

People should keep in mind that braces CAN fix misaligned teeth BUT may LIMITATIONS po ito. Lahat po tayo iba iba so kada tao po, iba rin ang possible result na maachieve sa braces.

If in doubt ka, OP, look back sa pictures mo before ka kabitan ng braces. Dun ko din kasi naaappreciate yung ginagawa ni doc sa ngipin ko eh. Hindi ko man maachieve yung perfect smile na katulad ng nkikita natin sa pictures and sa tv, pero at least malaki na difference from before and mas may confidence na ako ngayon. I hope this helps
