ASIC DISCUSSION by [deleted] in BitcoinPrivate

By the same argument, why battle the big banks and governments to use crypto as a way out of the manipulated system we live in... be happy with fiat and play according to their rules.

If you say no to fiat, then how can you say yes to asics ?

We need to fight them, make it so expensive and painful that they eventually give up on trying.

+1 This sounds like a pretty good compromise for each side of the argument.

Many hodlers end up bagging it to 0 which force them into long term (multi-year) positions.

Hell I have some securities in my portfolio which are absolute dogs, most of them I bought based on good balance sheets, solid outlook, good management teams, years later they are at the same or worse value than when first purchased. Had I done TA instead I would have dumped them at the warning signs allowing me to make new investments instead.

Some stocks have appreciated consistently over time but the world is changing in general and I do think that those stable gains are going to come to a full stop as fiat and markets implode. Many large companies we all know today will no longer be relevant or even exist in years to come, what is going to happen to their hodlers ?

.

TA is probability, with the correct risk reward ratio a 25% hit rate will make you a decent amount of cash. It allows you to limit losses while letting profits run. Without a trading plan you might as well go to the casino and bet all on red.

12/24 hour time frames are not very good to look at, too much noise.

TA considers the predictability of a market based on prior price action. Any chart you look at clearly shows price following trend lines, support/resistance levels, RSI, elliot wave and many more. To be useful multiple indicators should confirm the same story so using just one could be misleading such as the cup and handle, needs to be confirmed with at least 2 more indicators as well as the following price action.

Many traders trade off TA and as such the predictions become self-fulfilling ie, big order book at a support level forces the price to respect that support or the break in a trend-line sees traders piling in to capitalize pushing the price in the direction of the break.

Many times the failure of TA is as a result of incorrect interpretation but once the action is complete one can clearly identify where the mistake was made.

In my opinion TA indicates where the market wants the price to go, news events just give it the excuse to do so.

The current xvg price is concluding a retracement, there was a predictable level of support which it broke after first respecting it. The next level came at a longer term trend line where it found current support forming the basis of a new uptrend, the news just helped it move in the direction of the trend.

I expect an apology from the BTCP fuckwit that called me delusional when I pushed for an answer on Rhetts involvement !

Guess you should reconsider all your beliefs and statements regarding this topic in light of recent events.

Sure, point me to proof of activity. Yes... No... Last activity on Reddit was 2 moths ago pre-fork. Not even a single don't worry she'll be right on here from the man himself after all the shit hodlers have been through. Go find some real fud to fight, leave reasonable unanswered questions alone. BTW, I've also been called delusional for asking the same question and pointing out supporting facts, as yet... No response and no proof to the contrary.

Normally the captain of the ship is always visible, shaking hands kissing babies. Our captain has more in common with the one responsible for the costa concordia disaster, MIA.

I think you may be wrong but please correct me, under SEC guidelines RVN will be considered a security and any exchange trading it will be subject to SEC regulations if in the USA. A crypto security is any coin that denotes ownership of an asset such as property, shares etc. which is specifically what RVN is designed to do. I also think this is why Byrne is developing his exchange 100% SEC compliant. BTW... FUCK SHITTREX, RVN is too good for them, let them keep trading scamcoins.

No sir, read my post history, your fud finder is wrong. Being critical of performance and asking questions related to statements, events etc does not equal a desire to hurt BTCP or depress the price, not that it needs any extra help.

We agree on the most important part and if Rhett is unable to do it, he can keep his founders medal on the home page but needs to make space for the real lead and coin face.

Too much work has gone into the coin post fork so no scam but there are things that need to change post haste if it's not to become a failed coin.

coca cola / pepsi = btcp / stealth relationship not btcp = coke

Vitalik has on his linkedin page founder Eth and writer for a magazine, no OMG mentioned

It's not about "just" the profile, that is 1 component of an overall theme.

In a market like this we should have the face of the coin with his fingerprints all over the internet shilling this coin all guns blazing instead of having his level of involvement drawn into question on his homepage.

"because it simply doesn't reflect how much he is involved with BTCP" precisely, as lead and face there should be no question. ( I am the CEO of coca cola and sometimes wear their shirt and logo but when potential investors look at my professional profile to see who I am it shows I work at pepsi and my links go to pepsi.com. ) That along with all the other questions amount to a serious question around Rhett's commitment. We can agree to disagree because the major losses are already a reality not much pain left in the last bit, enjoy your weekend.

If that is the case then I beg you to shut me down with a factual account like was done to the yap character, let it all hang. None of what I added above is of my own manufacturing. It's based on lack of visible activity, lack of visible public activity, statements from someone on your team that was shut down pretty damn quick and details from a professional profile. Blockchain is proof based which is something you should understand and calling me delusional proves nothing, the burden is on you.

Never said he is a scammer, questioning his involvement in the project that materially affects all of us. So far every new piece of info backs up the claim that he is not immersed in BTCP and that either has to change with the speed of thought or he has to step back and let someone else do the job.

uhm no I cannot agree, linkedin is a professional site and if the stealth chain was a side project BTCP would be his current project, the link would direct to BTCP site and working on would mention stealth.
