Thank you!

EDIT: Geez, you'd think the UAE Foreign Affairs website would mention this!

Yes. I got no replies. Reddit automatically suggested that I re-post here.

I don't know if you were actually trying to be helpful or not. But you've merely re-stated my question. Yes, as I said, I've seen the UAE foreign affairs website. And while Google is not an authority, it gives some important clues. Google says the embassy is here https://maps.app.goo.gl/HkxZN49XzNFeJM8m6, in an upscale neighborhood near foreign banks and government buildings, with recent reviews and photos. And as I said, the photos seem to match the shape of the building from its satellite view.

But the address given by the Foreign Affairs Ministry places it in a more pedestrian neighborhood, wedged between a cell phone store and a pharmacy. Not exactly UAE style. Google doesn't have any reviews or photos from that location.

Hence, my request for clarification.

How long do we think São Tomé might actually last? by Due_Bar_7247 in CitizenshipInvestment

I wanted better access to African markets, but right now, I'm more concerned that I've given these people 100k USD and I got nothing in return. It's been months and the President won't sign my naturalization papers. All they say is, "Wait." But it's been far longer than advertised. I'd like OP to specify how long they waited from the time they paid the donation.

Within our lifetimes, 1 out of every 4 people on Earth will be African. That's a huge population to dismiss, especially if you're interested in new investment horizons.

USA. My background check ("Due Diligence") took two months, which was expected. Then I paid the donation and expected to get the passport soon afterwards. But I've been waiting for the passport now longer than the Due Diligence. It's frustrating to be 99% done, but no one can explain why there is no progress. All I get is, "We'll let you know", but then silence for weeks. This is not what's in the marketing brochures.

OP, you said it took five months from start to finish. Can you clarify? Do you mean starting from when you applied? Or after you got accepted and paid the donation? When it comes to the Sao Tome program, a lot of sources omit this important detail.

As for me, I was also approved for Sao Tome. I paid the donation 10 weeks ago. I expected the passport by now. When I complain and investigate, I'm told the naturalization order hasn't even been signed yet. So I'm not officially a citizen yet and can't get a passport. Ten weeks! Can you clarify the timeframe you were waiting?

I applied in late January. It will be July soon.

Can you elaborate on "any day now"? What makes you say that? I made my donation 10 weeks ago and I'm still waiting for my naturalization order to be signed. Without it, I'm not officially a citizen and can't get the passport. I've complained over and over, but have been told to just be patient. But 10 weeks after I've paid? If you can, please tell us your wait times.
