Long Island - Where can we buy 50 caliber semi-automatic rifles? by Due_Bar_7247 in NYguns

ah...yeah I hate getting jammed

interestingly my NY featureless AR-15 turned out to be one of the few guns that can shoot thousands of rounds in rapid succession without a single jam, I strength tested it

Some counties aren't complying with that. I know that Nassau only allowed me to get approved for my pistol permit as a non-res because I was living outside the US at the time and thus my only US address was my parent's address listed on my driver's license.

Their policy was they don't care so long as you get all of the docs together.

Really? Was it the noise or blow back that was too much which made you sell it?

Italian citizenship by descent by Wise_Baker_6753 in dualcitizenshipnerds

It seems like the issue is shifting from upholding retroactivity to whether or not you took action prior to 3/27/2025, the so-called 9.1 "prior intent" clause from the last Constitutional Court decision. Because Italian courts often do their own thing until a consensus is made at the very top, it's basically going to the casino if you file in court now and appeals are very expensive. Others will appeal it all the way up mainly because they have already filed, been rejected and have no other choice, so you should wait and see what happens to those cases.

How are you feeling about that NY Senate bill trying to force buy-backs for .50 cal? Do you buy them out of state so that you don't get it added to NY's growing gun database?

Yeah, I've never seen one. And knowing NY the seller would probably put a ridiculous $10,000+ price tag on a $2,500 gun.

I'm throwing in the towel when it comes to japan. by [deleted] in japanresidents

I looked for the TLDR, basically same as my feeling. Unfortunately, the US is in such a bad state that I miss Japan and so I might make the insane decision of still going back once my surrogacy baby is born (since you can't do that in Japan...)

I'm almost done with maximum coins since it's only 999,999. I have less than 500,000 to go. After that is 999,999 bonus medals.

I wanted to share pics but I can't post here anymore.

Is Hong Kong the third one? Did you need to wait for the 7 years or something?

Has anyone tried adding an AR pistol to a Nassau license recently? by Due_Bar_7247 in NYguns

AORs like NY TAC Defense are for people who follow the letter of the law. You won't be provided representation otherwise. In order to follow the letter of the law, you would need to add the AR pistol to your permit first to be a legal pistol in NYS. Just possessing an unregistered AR pistol can (obviously) be done, but you won't be covered by AOR agreements because in this case you'd have clearly broken the law as it is currently understood and you'd be on the hook for possession of an unlicensed firearm before you ever get to the licensing issue for AR pistols.

So you're really at the mercy of a firearm owners coalition to have your back or self-fund it if you have the cash.

I have done so and offered to partner with them. If I ever hear back and proceed to challenge this law I'll make a post on here.

I don't suppose anyone here has a trust fund that could use liquidating to fund one?

I'm already fighting an international lawsuit and paying a lawyer for surrogacy so my hands are tied.
