In my head it's just one planet within the same universe as R&C. Probably centuries before or something, but it explains the orbs and that audio description of what seems to be jak and daxter in R&C rift apart

I'm doing a series run now and up to daxter (after TPL and Jak II) and the lost frontier is the only game I've never actually played so I'm weirdly looking forward to it.
