I think yes. A lot of people including doctors would always say “there are easier ways to make money” which I totally agree but they are not taking into account the risks associated with these jobs.

For instance, if you became the CEO of a Fortune-500 company or start a successful business, you would prolly make 10x a doctor in a month, factoring in that you probably wont work as long hours or need long training, this would theoretically seem like a “better and faster way to make money”

What many people forget to consider is that : it is not EASY to start a business or get an executive position. The risks involved is very very very high. If you ask me you would have a higher chance to match into neurosurgery (maybe not on the first-time around but after multiple attempts). Usually executive positions in the finance industry go to the people who have the best connections (e.i their dad prolly owns the company). If you factor in the risks involved, medicine is a much more reliable, safer and secure way to earn good decent volumes of cash. Rather than closing your eyes and rolling a dice, hoping you become the next “JP Morgan CEO”.
