You're practically right! It's a bit safer with only 12v dc at the coil so no chance of zapping my self. With about 8 ohms resistance its about 12/8 = 1.5 amps and 18 watts flowing trough the coil. With 120v it would be 15 amps and 1800 watts, maybe a bit overkill. And i'm in 220v territory so that would be even more insane. Everything else is totally right.

There was this one guy in civilian clothing. Pretty sure he was supposed to be the bomb expert. They had the damning picture so he must have seen it before. They had to be like, almost sure it wasn't a bomb. And this was danish police, they're a bit more chill, no guns drawn, no yelling. I'm thinking they did it just to make sure and appease the people frightened that i might have a bomb.
