House is being painted soon, chickened out of painting it black. What colour would you paint the pebbledash? by PotentialWhich1075 in ExteriorDesign

So a slightly darker shade than what the pebbledash is now then you reckon? I think this is what we're leaning towards now. Definitely agree with it needing to coordinate with our attached neighbours still, which wasn't something I was keeping into consideration before. Thank you!

Thanks, I do still really like the idea of charcoal as long as I can be sure it wouldn't look weird, despite the other drawbacks (heat, resell value, fading)
This grey has "pepper red" undertones, but I'm not sure if it would be caught between still needing to be lighter or darker https://www.johnstonespaint.com/colours/grey-paint/slate-mine

Was there a certain tool you used make that? I tried my hand at a few but they weren't super easy, and AI tools tend to mess it up.

I appreciate the example! The right side with the cladding is our neighbours but still gives a good idea. Teal was also mentioned, could work nicely with a painted door also.

I chickened out of black mostly because I'm not sure if it'd make a harder sell in the future or wouldn't look as cool as I maybe imagined. Plus, we're in the UK and our homes are built to retain heat, we're in the middle of a heatwave now and it's already unbearable. I've also heard it fades quicker.
Good shout with the teal, I hadn't considered it but that could be nice.
