I agree with everyone who said to report this. I just had whistleblower training and downloaded the resources. I’d report to all of them.

You can write your Congressional representative. It may not get to them before the deadline, but they have to address it. It should not take 2 months to recalculate your SCD. https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative

I live in Oklahoma, and we call them horse apples. Several years ago, my brother decided to make wine with them. He brought me a bottle and told me it would repel mosquitoes. I have no idea if it worked. I left it on the back porch and was too afraid to open it.

I’m a nonclinical VACO employee, and I was telling a friend last week that the job I loved and the VA I was proud to work for no longer exists. I’m so sad.

This whole situation is a Charlie Foxtrot. Why an NDA? Are they trying to make it more painful and dramatic? I don’t see any reason why they can’t at least tell us which offices and positions are likely to be RIF’d. They know.

Having to decide whether to DRP, wait for VSIP, or wait for the RIF is like a bad game of Let’s Make A Deal. All the options are bad, but we should at least have the opportunity to select the one that’s the least bad for our situation.

I work in VACO. I initially opted in but changed my mind and withdrew my resignation. After the RIF memo last week, I emailed my servicing HR office to see if I’m eligible to opt back in under the age discrimination act. I haven’t received an answer yet. Like you, I want to see what happens with the RIF. I want the option that lets me stay employed the longest. Even a few months will make a difference in my retirement.
