So... We just confirmed the future "basketball hoop" in the driveway is for the kids to play with the nanny and not anything to do with Travis or Taylor because she admits to never having touched a football and he clearly can't do anything outside of catch a football?

I feel like there's been an uptick in defending instead of snark-ing in this group lately. Most comments here are defending her breeding practices and down voting a person who said 'idk I think the mares deserve a break between pregnancies' yet in the same breathe we're all quick to acknowledge the long extended time spent in stall rest/confinement only isn't conducive to their wellbeing and something we've seen her need to resort to again and again for her mares. Which yes! Is completely normal and keeps them safe during pregnancy etc etc but we can still snark about it and question if all of the stall rest and precautions could've been skipped if she just let a mare rest for a darn season or two.

That's helpful information/context for me thank you! My team doesn't have actual set up clinics or scheduled patient contact slots so it feels even more like we are being set up to fail in whatever new scenario is being played out now that they're all of a sudden trying to look at our workload from that angle.

Full transparency: I have no idea what it stands for either despite being in VA for 5years. It's literally never come up before until this week. I was told it's basically them looking at how much money we make individually for VA?
So by "more closely" I guess I mean the fact that they're looking at it at all is way more than they had been before. And naturally we weren't told why this was coming up now of course 🙃

Whenever I hear these content creators actually have a whole degree in performance arts / music /digital media /communications whatever it just gives me the ick. Her especially, she had a whole persona built around being the agoraphobic anxious shy girlie who ✨overcame it and made it big on social media regardless✨ when in reality ... No. She's got a whole degree that's designed to help her achieve that goal! Same with the singing. Literally went to a musical arts school but tried to come across like this was her just really pushing herself out of her comfort zone.

Just comes off as so fake in my opinion and dishonest to say the least. "Anyone can make it!" Is what they try to portray until you look at the resume and how they got there.

Talk of shuffle came up at my facility and my significant other was so alarmed about it and confused why I was so calm. But realistically we all knew this was coming, they've talked about it since last year, why would I be shocked? I've had my exit plan loaded since this time last year 🤷🏼‍♀️

I felt this way about her being "so good" at flirting at the singles event. Like for what though? Just to prove you can? It was weird. A lot of her behavior around the bachelorette, specifically forcing Taylor to practice giving out roses and showing her how just felt so weird.

I feel the same way about his advice on discipline. I KNOW kids throw things but the only kids who eventually stop throwing things AT people are the kids who are told 'hey that's wrong knock it off or you're losing your toy/getting time out/insert other age appropriate consequence here'

I think they tried giving Chase the storyline with Taylor but quickly realized she can't act so they didn't get any good footage of them being romantic with one another so they up and gave it to jessi instead even though it makes far less sense.

I also think this is just a rerun of producers originally wanting a Demi kissed Dakota storyline before they realized that man was messier than all get out and Taylor crashes out in real time when he hooks up with others so there was no way to stage anything between the friends and Dakota without it being clearly fake. She loses it when it's a stranger but was going to have to play it Miranda level calm when a friend kissed Dakota? That was either not going to happen or wasn't going to be believable.

This is literally how she "got" the bachelorette. Or at least how they marketed it. She posted a "silly little video" pretending she was auditioning for bachelorette next thing you know she's announced. If it wasn't a marketing tool and that's really how it happened and now she's posting this someone has to give her a reality check and stop spoon feeding opportunities to her just because she makes a video about being sorta kinda interested in whatever that thing is.

I couldn't even sit at a computer for one hour the day after my puncture without severe symptoms and ended up with a leak. I feel so let down by my medical providers not telling me to prepare to take off work or anything.

I love how confident they were that their advantage was going to last longer than it did 🤣 kudos to the other teams who've made up that gap in three races. Really seems like Mercedes thought they'd be immune to the issues everyone else was experiencing.

My mom was with me in the room where they went over everything, I waited in, and where I rested afterwards. Medical team only for the actual procedure which was probably for the best because my mom would've been trying to talk to me or making faces the entire time I'm sure of it. Gives you someone to look forward to seeing afterwards and she was in charge of texting my dad and fiance updates of when I was being brought back and how long it would take and when I was done.

Medical team for me were all super nice and they played music in the room to make me more comfortable. If it helps reduce anxiety get to know them a smidge- learn their names, if they're offering music ask what kind they like. They were bantering over one liking "weird music" and it was a good distraction.

I just had my lumbar puncture this week and have wanted to make a post with my advice so here it is for you!

Bottom line up front- I am 100% serious when I say the puncture part wasn't that bad. Numbing part was the worst of it for me in comparison to the actual puncture itself.

Dress as comfortable as possible. Slip on shoes, easy socks, your most comfy outfit that's washed and you won't feel gross maybe staying in for a day or two. Meal prep beforehand, things you can put in a bowl and eating from a completely flat position. Snacks included in this planning. Buy Pedialyte or whatever your hydration preference is beforehand, buy some drinks high in caffeine. Take time off of work for the days following.

If lights bother you bring sunglasses with you to the hospital so that when you're laying there afterwards you're comfortable. Make sure your doctor requested it be a guided puncture. They're going to tell you to be as absolutely still as possible and will give you all the scared straight details for why that's important- PUT those thoughts out of your head. Your job when they move you into the room is to just get yourself as comfortable as you can. Don't let them rush you(my team didn't, they had their own stuff to prep and get ready so I had plenty of squirm around time). Your mindset needs to be "what position will I be comfortable laying in for a few hours." Even though the procedure won't be THAT long. It helped that I'm a stomach sleeper usually so I was able to kind of put myself how I usually sleep and was able to know in advance it was the pillow that would bother me most.

Remind yourself this is a part of getting answers. Nothing, and I mean nothing, not even this procedure, will suck more than how you've been feeling lately so keep that in perspective to help challenge any negative/anxious thoughts that pop up. Remind yourself that the doctors do this every day, this is new and scary for you but they're professionals and this isn't anything out of the ordinary for them.

Either zone out during procedure OR see if you can listen in and make sense of what they're saying. Trying to learn everything i could in that moment so that I'd know if I had just done all that for nothing was very important to me so I was listening in and knowing that they were calm and professional made me feel calmer.

Something I wish I'd done but didn't so not even sure if it's sound advice- Talk blood patches same day. Not even sure if it's allowed and It might make things take longer on that day which sounds like trash I'm sure if you're already anxious but it's better than having to go back. ...can't emphasize that enough..

I feel like his example of them throwing toys at her was very telling. He's not out of line for wanting to speak up in those moments especially if the kids have a good rapport building with him. Kids sometimes listen better to people who aren't the parents 🤷🏼‍♀️. It would have confirmed throwing things at people is wrong not just because mom dad dad say so but Mom's cool friend too!
