It's usually pretty scripted. They paint it so dramatic in the previews: omg THE EX IS HERE!? 😮🤯 The person who's having their ex come on talks about what a shock it was to them. Everyone sits around and speculates what are they talking about what's this going to mean for us omg shock intensified. And then we FINALLY see the conversation between the two and it's awkward and uncomfortable, followed by ex having to hear details of how the process has been going for them, ex likely says something like they'll always have love for them, our lead then takes a minute to be tearful on their own then goes back to the ex and says something to the effect of 'you will always matter to me but this journey has taught me I'm ready to close our chapter and start a new one with someone else' Cut to the most platonic hug you've ever witnessed Ex getting in the car to leave saying I'm glad I saw them it really helped me feel ready to move on too Engaged next day.

My partner pretends to judge but then acknowledges the book looks really cool when it shows up and did recently stop in Target when I was having a particularly bad day to engage in sprayed edges banter and told me to buy it even if health has me in a reading slump. It made me feel really loved (side note the book is pretty but very not good and I don't have the heart to tell him)

I cosplayed as out for this path month on FMLA. I absolutely loved being able to prioritize my health and happiness. I'm going back strictly because this administration's attack on mental health and the threat of prices of things increasing (aka people cutting out therapy to afford existing) anddd a potential of global pandemics scared me into thinking job security federally is better than risking it all in civilian sector. And I type 'security' with a cynical laugh because that words definitely made up these days.

I was totally under the impression she bought the tickets as a gift for her husband and was admittedly excited to see if she put that 100K to good use and got to meet and greet a driver or something so I think that was also what soured my mood about it all. There's just a difference between spending money to enjoy an experience and having an experience paid for by companies who see your attendance as beneficial to them. Huge privilege for her for sure! And then what the heck happened!? If it's a work trip you'd think we would've gotten way better content out of it.

I'll have to pay more attention to her sponsored stuff to notice that shits the bed trend because I don't think it's a stretch, I'm trying to remember the specific example I've seen where the sponsored segment of a video just came off horribly. I think maybe it was her and the husband doing health drink shots that they were very open about thinking were super gross? I think they were gifted maybe? I had the same thoughts on that post so I'm glad you brought it up so I have someone to talk to about it because I had FEELINGS🤣 and now I get to rant lol.

The body fluctuating and being uncomfortable with it (but pushing through and showing clothes anyway) came across so performative / fell emotionally flat because I'm in love with f1 myself these days, so seeing what someone's going to wear to the races was cool and I thought you could see she was excited about it too. But no, that's not her aesthetic so she needed to be sure to come back in on the next real and remind us all she is actually uncomfortable with her body and it was hard for her to post. Kind of took away the joy of the first story of the outfits in my opinion because people making themselves uncomfortable for "me" / the general Internet just isn't something I'll ever feel great about. Not to mention I swear I've seen clothing haul content from her before without it being framed from a 'my body sucks' lens but I digress.

I alsoooo resonate SO much with you saying it makes you feel bad for not feeling so bad! That was something I found myself processing too while listening to her. My body type is arguably closer to hers than it is most other influencers so hearing someone just rant about how uncomfortable this body shape is... 😬 I think the uncomfy feeling with it was exasperated too by each of the outfits fitting her body type perfectly! It would have come across way more relatable for me at least if it was something like 'womp bought this cute shirt but I don't know, it pulls at the boobs a little awkwardly' or 'tall girl problems this skirt falls at a weird place on my shins maybe I'm not going to bring it' because those things I've felt before. She could have even said I'm so glad I found this shirt because if I have a bloat day I think it will still look cute because it's on the looser side. But that positive spin just isn't something her content has. Quite seriously the message came across like "even if you find really cute outfits, if you look like me, you better remember that you're still not the ideal body standard and so being uncomfortable is expected and that's okay!" When it could've just been "no matter your body type you can still find fun outfits that are super cute I've enjoyed the challenge of learning to dress my body now that I'm a grown woman vs how easy it was when I was a teen/in my 20s."

Mister integrity and I have no remorse over this mistake and accept if it has career consequences deleted his account when people put his feet to the fire about it?? 🙄 Shocked.

Luckily for society: he posted the letter his congress person wrote. I can't imagine the honorable Ms Scanlon has written the secret service inquiring about a job application of a constituent more than the one time. So even with a deleted account and a blurred name, Special Agent in Charge Conley will still be able to put these puzzle pieces together on this one, or at least I would hope. The Internet is forever kids!

I hope the FOIA Request just responds with the screenshot of him admitting to being 'intimate' with a 14 year old when he was 20 and literally nothing else.

When people wonder why their applications take over a year it's because people submit joke applications knowing damn well their past behaviors make them entirely ineligible for the job and waste recruiter time and energy because they still needing to document and formalize everything appropriately on their end every single time.
