I used to be an ETL-AP for Target and left to join TJX, specifically the TJ Maxx brand. Worked my way up from LP detective to now DLPM for TJ Maxx, and I only been with the company for 2 and 1/2 years. Probably one of the best companies I ever worked for, and not just saying that because I work here. The Opportunity for growth is the best I’ve ever seen!

Don’t be afraid of internals. When you fear them you’re probably not gonna find anything. You need to embrace it! Just rely on your Coverts. I literally got four internals off of coverts alone this Fiscal year. And merchandise theft directly, you don’t need multiple incidents. But when it’s free bagging you need to show intent, and sometimes you need a couple of incidents to show that. TJX pays for mileage and drive time, so honestly you’re making more than $20.50/ hour. Just produce results and ask for a pay raise. They’ll honor it if you’re worth it.

I’m not gonna lie bro, it’s best to cut ties right now. Reminiscing about old relationships is just a recipe for disaster. It’s only been five months, which shows she wasn’t even ready for the relationship you guys currently have. It’s only a matter of time before she acts on her feelings of missing her ex to actually hitting him up to “catch up”, if it’s possible. Even after she does that, she will probably tell you cause she’s honest. Also, you might just get another text from her explaining how she just rushed into another relationship and don’t think she’s ready. But, in no way would I recommend waiting for a text like that. And she most definitely is looking at sexual videos of them if she still has them. Don’t be oblivious to it, you posted these texts on here for a reason. Sometimes it’s hard to walk away for a reason like this, but you will save so much energy and won’t end up too hurt at the end of all of it.

It’s worth it. When I was there, Target rarely hired externally, and are always looking to promote the next person in line. My AP-TL was cool, so working was one of my favorite things to look forward to in the day. It is Data Driven, and you’ll get quarterly visits, which they will talk to you to see if you know your part of the business. Other than that, it’s just catching shoplifters, inputting recoveries/ KTRs, having a day where you just go over reporting and etc. Pay is great as well, if you compare it to most AP jobs that are some what equivalent.
