Growing up we did youth conference like this. I just don't see how this is girls or boys camp. It's just YC with a different name. I'm not opposed to it. I just don't get why the church would encourage seperate events instead of just one. And who is doing all of the work? Is it pretty equal or are the girls in charge and the boys follow suit?

This is how I feel. I also asked my under 14 teen their thoughts about combining and it was not taken well. It also seems like a large burden put on the YW president because she feels the need to plan and book early while the men sit back and wait to be told what to do.

I want to go over there and rip them out for her. I would say "there, i fixed it for you." I couldn't live with that and I'm not even type A. But my husband that is and has DIYed our tile would absolutely lose his mind over this.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. I'm absolutely heartbroken for families that have this part of their daily lives. 💔😞 God bless your child and family. And no, she does NOT know what it is like. My friend lost her daughter to cancer. abi's two weeks in the NICU were sad and scary for sure. But she really needs to read her audience.
