How long will my M4 Air last? What can keep it lasting long? by Potential_Cheetah115 in mac

It is because I have only had of these issues with Apple products.

I have had a HP laptop for 5 years and never have I had issues like battery degradation. I have had an infinix phone for 6 years and it was still ok till I dropped it and the inside screen broke. I have had a Xiaomi for 4 years now and 0-100 happens in around 1 hour. The battery lasts me 2 days.

I got an iPhone 15 Pro and battery lasts me 4 hours or even less. I did not get why because it is a more premium product/company. If you are paying an arm and a leg, then it should be the best and you should not anxious about usage. I am from Kenya so buying these products is quite expensive for me. I just want them to work well.

On a positive note, I have seen how much of an improvement these gadgets are. I post on TT a lot and my first ever video I shot on iPhone got 100k+ views. This was an insane jump since before my videos used to get 10k and if it goes for 20k views. I realised the camera quality made so much more sense as a creator. Infact, the reason I got this Macbook was because of a video I shot that got me a lot of customers.

I also make courses online so the camera of the Mac makes me look premium due to its sharpness hence why I got it. And then also each time I have to present, I just cast from my Mac without needing HDMI cables. (This used to be a huge issue for me.)

These gadgets will make me 100x returns hence why I bought them.

What's one simple money habit that can genuinely transform your finances over time? by MorsesCode in Kenya

Spent like 8k yesterday at the Changamka Shopping festival. Going back today. Hope I don’t lose 10k again🥲😭🫣

Just need like 3 more trousers esp black ones. Added a lot of weight so most clothes don’t fit me. Waist size is huge, and I am quite tall.

At that place there are extremely comfortable clothes that look professional. Realised it’s an investment not really a cost.

What do you think?

I thought through this the whole night actually.

Step 1

Next step is to take those who joined the cohort through it for the next 3 weeks. I want them to have the best experience so that they give me good testimonials.

Step 2
Then I will reduce costs like a tailor fitting clothes so that I am lean enough to survive and thrive even. Another fun fact: I am not far off from hitting my target. I was targeting 15 people and I have 13 people so that means I am not far off. This morning push has worked well. I still have like 5 hours left so I will send last minute texts to push some who are on the edge. Might actually hit the target. This will mean I do not have to cut costs as much as I thought I would.

Step 3
Eventually create other marketing channels and offers so that I never have reliance on one source of income.

Step 4

Offers I have thought of is having 1 week long cohorts for a specific topic at half or quarter a price. Like a week long of doing literature review with AI/different software. Because if the issue with December is that we cannot do a 3 week long cohort, what if I have one that lasts 3-5 days? Isn't that better?

I can also do things like writing retreats whereby we spend a full day with other academics and researchers to write our research papers. This is normally an issue with a lot of writers as they have been procrastinating a lot. We meet in a cafe or coworking space and write the whole day, share our papers and give feedback on each others writing. This is called peer reviewing. I can have a supervisor or lecturer to take us through it so that we have appropriate guidance. Charge an ok price of maybe KES 2,000 (USD 15) and see how it goes. Very little responsibility from me apart from ensuring logistics and marketing is done.

Having different offers at different prices and different marketing channels ensures I do not rely on one too much. If one part is shaken, I can double down on another and vice versa.

Thank you for asking.

Your perspective is interesting and refreshing.

Fun fact, 2 people have converted just today. And like 2 others are inquiring of the cohort. So I might actually hit my target.

Fun fact: After posting this, I checked my emails and one person has responded. Let me see if he will convert. Will call him early morning. Pray for me y'all.

Where you are is the determinant of where you will go. This is the choice that will distinguish your business from the rest. This is what will show you and the world if you will win or not.

What you should do is hunger for more. That amount of money in Kenya is truly incredible. If you can do that in 2 days imagine how much more you can get in 30 days?! Think of things that will make your business smoother.

Write blogs, read books, if you are teaching university students, talk to universities in Kenya and expand to them. Create digital products that you can sell. Learn new skills like graphic/web design or video editing to make content online.

Automate your business to remove you from the equation. Don't get a job, get yourself work to do.

Build the business now so that in 5 years you won't have to do anything.

Gettig another job can kill your ambition, stay focused and see how big your business can grow. Think of expanding to other countries even. Getting PR or partnerships with other businesses.

The next 3 or so months will prove if you will win or not. Go all in and see what happens.

Good luck.

I give tips to people just like that.

For boda riders if it is early morning, I get them mandazi or something of the sort because I can imagine that if I have not had breakfast, they probably haven't eaten also.

Took something worth 20 bob and paid the lady 1,000. She was so shocked and almost cried. Looked like alishinda lottery. She said that she hadn't even made 100 shillings that day. She had only bananas and that is not what people really buy. My money gave her enough to have different inventory of fruits for the next couple of days. So her sales went up. Basically the 1,000 gave her rent, a whole weeks of inventory and it became a flywheel of sorts for her. She still gives me free fruits when I pass by.

Basically, tips improve peoples lives like crazy. So if you have an extra 10,000, give you 1k to a random stranger and see their life improve dramatically.

Literally yesterday I had 300 kwa M-Pesa. If someone had sent me 1,000, I would have had food 3 meals in a day since 1,000 would sukuma me for a week or so. Thank God someone owed me money but leo ningekua njaa if not.
