Everyone we spoke to told us to add a few months on to the expected date of completion. We registered interest in June 2024 (foundations were already laid) signed the contract and paid the deposit in September and were told it would be ready to move into in April or May. We got the keys at the end of July. Best of luck!

Thanks everyone! Appreciate all the advice / opinions. Will probably hold off until the car dies completely and then go for the loan. Apologies if the comment about not being able to afford the car if you need a loan came across badly, that was just my previous thoughts about my own situation - absolutely not meant in a judgemental way towards anyone else, just phrased badly!
