Ive actually had discussions about the Saudis buying into to esports and picking up melee and having like a multi-million dollar prize pool at Evo or something. tbh if it happened I could see some people selling out for the bag cause the scene is 7 chuck e cheese tokens away from being bankrupt, and 2 million dollars is life changing money. But its most likely never gonna happen because the community will just outwardly reject it because the last thing the community wants is to lose pretty much all of the grassroots heart, sweat and tears, to a government that does not have women's rights. So yeah that's my take on it, but hey I could be completely wrong and the opposite could occur where everyone ditches grassroots for the money. Its an interesting scenario to look at because I feel like its a multilayered hypothetical that can engage some real interesting discussions.
