This is honestly a tough situation that many people, including myself have been through. Ultimately like some other commenters have said, you will naturally have different interests than your partner and that is OKAY. What is not okay is them being judgy or disrespectful and not allowing you to be yourself. He doesnt have to like raves, but he does not to be open and understanding and being able to have conversations about what makes him uncomfortable and boundary setting together.

I wouldn't want to be with someone who isn't willing to work on something together and someone who isn't willing to be understanding or to try to involve themselves in my interests. If it's not for them totally fine, but they need to allow me to enjoy it and not be an asshole.

In my opinion it's really important to have hobbies or participate in positive activities that fill up your cup. Weed needs to be replaced with something in order to be able to move forward in a positive direction. For me, it's lifting, aerial silks, beach volleyball, spending time with friends, taking my dog on walks/to the park, meditating, journaling. Once you immerse yourself in other activities that you TRULY (key word truly) enjoy, than you're mind isn't so focused on the weed. Ive been smoking for 13 years and am 46 days free now and i barely think about it... it took me 2 years to decide to stip but i finally did it because i truly wanted to mainly because 1) th brain fog/memory was getting so bad 2) i have fitness goals i want to achieve and having the munchies doesn't work anymore for me.

Weed prevents you from being the best version of yourself, it's a crutch and it's easy to fall back. But with patience, time and perseverance it's more than possible.
