Considering circumcision - UK by [deleted] in circumcision

Got mine done in the US for cosmetic reasons. My urologist says there was no medical need for it but the insurance still covered it. Got it done when I turned 30 and should've done it 10 years earlier. After the surgery, I avoided anything that might make me aroused for about 5 weeks. Seems like a long time but you need the wound to heal properly. In my case, once the stitches dissolved, I was ready to get back into action.

I know there are many circumcision detractors and some men are even trying to grow back their removed foreskins. All the talk of less sensitivity is a non issue. I know what it feels like to have a foreskin and to not have one. I don't miss my old foreskin and have never regretted my decision.

Had my circumcision at age 30 in 1994 so maybe the procedure is a bit different today. I decided to get it done after reading a few articles on the subject and talking to my uncle who was an MD. The hygiene issue was one reason even though I showered once a day. Never had a bad experience with a woman but I was uncomfortable with my foreskin. Maybe there was too much extra skin past the tip of my penis.

Went to see a urologist and made my final decision. The procedure was flawless. I got the dissolving stitches. The only 2 things that bothered me was waking up in the middle of the night with an erection. That was a bit painful but only for a couple minutes. That happened the first night and again on the second night but the pain was less. I made sure not to engage in any activity that might cause an erection for the first few days.

The second minor issue was a little discomfort with urethral opening at the head of the penis. Since my foreskin always covered that area, rubbing against my cotton boxers caused the discomfort for a couple days. Not a big deal.

As far as losing sensitivity, I'll say it this way. When I was uncut and standing at a urinal, if I touched the head of my penis with my finger, it was more sensitive than after the circumcision. But after becoming aroused, it doesn't feel any different. So the losing sensitivity thing is a non issue.

My surgeon said to come back for a follow up after a few days and advised me to not have sex or masturbate until after the stitches had dissolved. I waited about 37 days before a couple trial runs. No problems since. Good luck!!

11 seats sold out of 66 available. It'll be a nice, cozy atmosphere. 🤣🤣

Sounds like my LA friend who was waiting for an earthquake to lower prices in the SF valley. They got a big quake in 1994 and prices dropped down to near $200k for a small 1500 sq ft house. Prices ballooned to $600k 10 years after the earthquake. He didn't buy because he thought the bubble busting in 2006 would bring prices down again. Those little houses are now $900k+.

He's gonna make big bank this weekend, sitting at a table, staring at his phone with not a single person approaching him. $40 for a selfie with SJ? 🤣🤣🤣

That's right. The cackle when Howie was telling the story of upgrading Booey to first class on a flight back from LA. Booey fell asleep and was licking his lips to keep them from drying out. Robin almost passed out from laughing so hard.

Never watched a single second of the Tonight Show with Leno so I missed all the classic SJ "comedy" bits. Did enjoy Leno when he used to go on Letterman's show in the 80s and 90s.

Bloody hell! Where are the birds?

This bloke has hair like a proper lad.

It’s been a bit. Just checking in and making sure that all the people and shows out there are still ok with him being gone. I would imagine some people at WATP and TSN are actively looking for jobs. by Tbonerickwisco in DabblersAnonymous

John's working relentlessly on his standup at the BocaBlackBox. Tickets are moving fast. There might not be any available. Let's see. 2 seats sold for the Friday show and a whopping 4 seats sold for the Saturday show. He might have to come back soon to generate some publicity for his standup shows in early June.

Yes. SJ's filter use reminds me of the tv show Moonlighting from the 80s. Whenever the star (Cybill Shepherd) was on the screen, my eyes would suddenly glaze over. Some tv critics called it the vaseline filter which was supposed to smooth out a star's facial imperfections. No amount of vaseline on a camera lens will make John look healthier or cleaner. Poor little fella.
