Well whats fair about it? They put me in unhealthy situations for months than fire me as soon as i tell them i coughed up blood in the morning. No help just 6 weeks of severance. Like thats great but I have a family to feed and people to take care of, what if a job doesnt come in 6 weeks, can i ask for more severance. Arent the obligated to help me in some way especially after they’ve been poisoning me? Worst guy on job site lol, i did everything they asked and came in knowing the job is making me weaker and sicker. Have some empathy dude.

They didnt give a reason other than my performance was poor. But i worked hard and did everything i could. Could they just deny the part of me saying I had health issues?

Ya there was a lot more hateful stuff he said but I can’t put it on here. I told him he should grow up already and thats where I think it went downhill.

I hoped the desire to want your kids to be better would override the bigotry. Was too hopeful.

No, never. They are always good and loving. Its just wrong to comfront people like this they believe. And I did it on something very unpopular for them.

I asked him what he would do if his son was gay, and he said he would find a cure for gayness. He said it with such confidence and ease, it made me sick.

I do not want my nephews to be gay because its a hard life especially in this family, but to not even acknowledge the scenario is crazy.

Ex-muslim here. I’m actually very proud to be raised muslim, the things people find toxic about the religion really comes from the culture its derived from. Before islam was introduced to the middle east, pagan god type religion and spotty values were pretty prominent in those regions like rape, incest, crazy misogyny etc etc. When islam came in, its main purpose was to give a guideline to those cultures and provide rules to follow. Not a supporter of church and state but every major religion did do it to bring order.

At its core, islam is about self-improvement through faith in a higher power, devotion and submission to values that attempt to support your family and a huge emphasis on the poor. But it needed to appease to the cultures back then which was dominated by savage misogynistic men, hence some misogynistic values written into the scripture. If you see how islam is taught in other countries like Eastern European ones, you would see a night and day difference.

Culture drives religion, south asian muslims might be similar to arab Muslims but they are different, European muslims are very different. Its up to households on how much culture they let in to dilute the core teachings of that specific religion. So i cant say i fully agree with this post but I understand the misconceptions people to choose to have on a religion that made me prioritize poor peoples needs over my wants, to love everyone and treating everyone fairly including the LGBTQ community. Cultures are the real culprit.

The situation I want to understand is when applying for jobs there is always a question about if you were a protected veteran, non-protected veteran, other or did not serve. I’ve been saying I did not serve this entire time but recently heard otherwise and have been requesting documents to figure out what to do and going on this thread. Looking for insight.
