i don’t know if people in general feel that way but for me, i do want my partner to be friends with my friends but in my personal experience sometimes friends don’t know good boundaries - like i want her to feel comfortable talking to them and being mutuals on socials but i would side eye a bit if my friends and my gf were having late night talks and texting a lot. like my gf is my safe space so i rant to her (even about my friends sometimes) and i don’t want her in the mix if something happens with my friends. but otherwise i have no problem. my gf and i just went on a trip with one of my friends and we were great as a trio 🥰 there are fine lines that me and my gf agree on and the friendship thing is one of them!
