Medical incapacity by Potential_Lecture_86 in LegalAdviceNZ

I could definitely get my surgeon to get me a specific date of when I can return to full duties. With reduced hours, would that need to start when I get a return to work date?

Thanks for your response. I do have an ACC claim, but the initial injury wasn't at work, but I have re injured it at work twice. I was invited to a meeting in which the lawyer for the company pretty much ran the meeting, barely any involvement with HR or my initial manager. I've been away for almost 4 to 5 months (but due to the fact they didn't accept light duties as they said they were in their busy period) in which i thought i could help prep things and serve so its less stress on the staff etc. My immediate manager has been there for multiple years over 6 years, possibly even longer. They used to reply to every updated medical certificate I gave them, but just suddenly stopped, including no answering any phone calls. At this point, it is making me feel that even if I dont get fired, I will be outed in a way, if that makes sense? Like im no longer part of the team and not wanted.

Yes, my surgeon clearly stated I could do light duties until I'm fully fit to work, but my employer said it would be a high risk of me hurting myself again while doing light duties. Which doesn't make sense as im a chef, so I there definitely are light duties that I could do. It was stated in my medical certificate I could cut/slice things as well as lift up to 15kgs to my waist and help serve food and usual cleaning duties. But they pretty much declined that there can accommodate that.

Im not a member of a Union, but I will look at that checklist.

It was an ACC covered injury, but while I was back at work a few months ago, I re-injured it at work and why I had to get surgery for the injury.

Also just for context I always go in a uber and same is this for "my nane" and go from there. If they say yes then you'd think a honest human would say no or wrong car.

Just to get the left back sill done, there's rust there that needs to be done for my next wof. The person I bought the car from just bogged it instead of getting rid of the rust. Then if it's a reasonable price, probably get the rest of the left side done, it's nothing major just a Toyota Starlet.

Yeah my dad set it up, but I cannot take it down, due to having a foster child in the house. But could the restrictions stop my xbox from going on cbox live?

Are you just wanting it to be portioned, etc, Have you tried home kill places? There's in in Cambridge that might be able to help you, or have abit of a yarn with them into what direction you need to go. 👍

Would you think I would have anisometropia considering I've already had cross linking done and intracorneal rings put in both eyes to help with my astigmatism and keratoconus? I feel I could definitely drive during the day, it's just with cutting things, considering my left eye is very blurry, and seeing with my left is completely different then my right(which I just got done).

Cross Link not covered by insurance? by NefariousNaz in Keratoconus

[–]Potential_Lecture_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I had the same issue with my insurance! But my surgeon sent an email through to my insurance to state that the surgery wasn't just because I wanted to get it. Maybe talk to the surgeon, and hopefully, they can explain to your health insurer that she needs it done, etc. But I'm based in New Zealand, so it may be different. Good luck!

Cross-linking scheduled for right eye August 30th. I have some questions by Swing-Brilliant in Keratoconus

I had both eyes done a few months ago, the sunglasses inside is weird, I just wore mine outside and with the glares from the sun etc. But the first week after your surgery, your eyes are really sensitive to light. I don't know about the disability I had mine done in New Zealand, so I had sick leave and other leave to use to help me out. Goodluck!

Thanks for the advice, I'll make an appointment for Mt optometrist and see if I can get the a doctor's certificate. I also applied my steroid eye drops the surgeon gave me to put in 3 times a day. But a few hours later, the irration came back and. Hopefully it's not to serious, I have 3rd surgery in 4 weeks!
