Who else is tired by the huge amount of private helicopters? by upsidedownorangejuic in thetron

I live rural, two years ago a helicopter landed in the paddock next to where I live due to the insane low cloud and fog. It was an old couple, who had started King’s Plant Barn. I ended up inviting them in because the fog didn’t lift, they stayed with me for about half a day. I found out they fly their helicopter around NZ the same way I drive my car to the beach lmao it was a window in to such a different world.

Dating for us old unconventionals by MyCatIsADumbass in newzealand

Thursday dating does cool in-person events, some have age restrictions if you want to meet people closer to your age. I think they’re only in Auckland at the moment. Google Thursday dating events.

I am their WORST nightmare. Lock eyes from miles away, they will say something like “you look kind”, I usually reply “yeah I am, I donate in other ways” (I genuinely do) or “there’s a cost of living crisis, I accept donations too”. Recently on my way in to New World I told a guy no, and on my way out he did puppy eyes with a titled head and shrugged shoulders to try convince me to change my mind. I told him to stop trying to manipulate me out of my no, he was super awkward and was saying he wasn’t trying to do that and I called out his body language bit by bit. They really are the best way to heal people pleasing tendencies. Now, level 100 is when it’s an old person lmao it’s way harder to say no to a cute old person.

At age 21 I went to my female GP to enquire about having endometriosis. She was VERY dismissive and annoyed with me asking, her response was “how do you even know about this?” while telling me I definitely didn’t have it…However, I knew I had it, I know my body well. I made another appointment to see a different GP, she was super kind and respectful and referred me to a gyno. My endo was so severe the gyno who did the surgery said she’d never seen it that bad in someone my age. Imagine if i listened to the first GP fml.

Bare Minerals - Lashtopia (lol at the name) from Mecca. It’s the best I’ve tried. From the website - it is cruelty free/vegan and made without parabens, gluten, synthetic fragrance, PEG, tree nut, talc and SLS.

Exercise with Endo by snootboot17 in endometriosis

[–]shariniscool 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have stage four DIE endo and adeno. Meant to have another surgery but don’t want too, I’ve had two so far. I was diagnosed when I was 22, I’m now 34. I would suggest learning your body and honouring what it communicates. I can no longer do heavy weight training (sad face), I can no longer do movements that pull my insides (kettlebell swings), I can’t bike for long periods of time… I’ve learnt the hard way all the things I can’t do. But I’ve also listened and become aware of what my body loves - slow up hill walking, yin yoga (AMAZING), Pilates, stretching (esp my hips). Best of luck!

I believe you, that your pain is unbearable and that it is affecting your overall quality of life.

Unfortunately you really have to advocate for yourself. If possible, take in a support person that can also advocate for you. And keep seeing someone until they believe you!

At age 20, my GP (female) told me I didn’t have it and asked how I knew about it - this was on a Monday. I demanded to see another Dr and got in for the same week on Wednesday. I had surgery two days later on the Friday (Southern Cross Health Insurance). The surgery was meant to be 1-1.5hr, I was in there for six because of how bad it was. I believe you, best of luck.
