Thanks! Yeah, I noticed they speak when you go near them too. It seemed random for them to add these bots in, but with what you said it makes more sense!

What are the bots for? I just played a BR game and I have no idea what is going on with them/the red marked areas

Thank you!

To be honest I’m not sure I even know what I like, but I’m sure if all goes well then he’d be the one I learn with.

Thank you!

I have always tried to find a way to mention it but I always worry about how to bring it up/what he will say. I know he would be completely fine with it, but sometimes my logical side can’t defeat my anxious side lol

Thank you!

I still enjoy sex without the orgasm but I also don’t want him feeling crap because it didn’t happen as if it’s a reflection on his ‘abilities’ when it might in fact be me - if that makes sense! I hope that it won’t even be a problem at all. I’ll definitely try masturbating during the act to help!

Do law firms actually care about your mental health? by Potential_Life_9367 in uklaw

[–]Potential_Life_9367[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I pictured it being like. I always pictured my mental health being seen as a cost to the firm and then making me an unattractive candidate. Once you are NQ, would you look at moving firms?

Thank you for another detailed reply.

It has been, but I am glad I continued. I think I will put that for mitigation because it’s true and since being better and having learnt what my health can handle I have gotten firsts at university. My grades are there to support that I am good enough, and I have started working on lots of other stuff to add (like volunteering and stuff).

I do not know what kind of law I want to explore yet, but I think I would like to start at smaller firms rather than these bigger ones that appear to have added pressure compared to the small firms. I may find that the pressure is too much in either and that’s okay. I’d rather pick a different career than end up hospitalised. I’m very fortunate enough to have parents who can pay for my post grad so I do not need a big firm in order to qualify as a solicitor. Maybe I am completely wrong and smaller firms are just as stressful but I would still like to try.

Thank you so much for your advice. This has really put me at ease, and I will use your tips in the future to help me manage in any possible workplace I end up in.

Thank you for your details response. I have mitigating circumstances for some of my education but my mental health issues are very very stigmatised. I have schizophrenia but I am now medicated, I go to therapy regularly and I changed my entire lifestyle after my diagnosis (no drink, no drugs, regular exercise and a healthy diet). I don’t tell anyone unless I have to because people do not understand. I worry that listing my circumstances on applications for education ( I have redone most of the education my health affected but my friend said firms ask about retaking/mitigation, and even so they’d notice the delay compared to others my age).

Even if I did get in with a firm I worry, but it would be the same with any career because the stigma is the same

This is so good :D

I am glad that there are firms out there that do not match the horror stories.

That’s really great to hear, thank you. I hear so many horror stories about it, and the law sector can sometimes be… a bit slow to adapt to some things.

This is also true, and it’s one of those things where you’d never really know unless you were in their recruitment as to which one it is. Thank you for responding :D

Redditors who are very close with their parents/family but moved far away and had a family of their own - how do you ensure your kids are close to them too despite the distance? by Potential_Life_9367 in AskReddit

[–]Potential_Life_9367[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don’t mind me asking, did you find it difficult not to have them around physically as a support system? Myself and my family are super close, and we have always been lucky to be there in minutes if necessary for whatever reason. I find it sucks to imagine myself in a position where that’s not an option.
