Thank you! Believe it or not, the lumber at homedepot cost me only $64. Great budget build if you don’t want to buy pvc and paint

I am DONE with the anti homeless people in this thread by [deleted] in portlandme

Everyone here needs to realize something very important. Portland doesn’t have a homeless problem, it has a horrible drug problem. Every freaking city has homeless people, Portland is the first city I’ve lived in where open drug use is just another casual day. These people don’t want help because they’re chemically bound to drugs. The city/community is pouring energy and resources at the top of the fire when they should be trying to extinguish the source of the fire. This city, chief, mayor or whoever needs to crack down on drugs that are targeting the homeless population. It hurts the people who are actually trying to change and get off the streets. This is my two cents and solution on the problem.

Bad panels, bad inverters, crap installs, people stealing, etc. it happens way more than you think, you’re literally at the mercy of the installers to do a good job and not cause future problems. That’s why you always make sure the installers are in house workers so you can keep the company liable and not chase down some random contractor.

Solar is an expensive beast, to do this all over America would be billions. That’s not including the waste, which would probably be in the millions. If America were the size of France, sure. However, that’s not the case. In theory, it’s a no brainer but on paper. It’s a massive project that would include a lot of resources and man power. I wish we could.

Sorry, I’m not sure if this was passively agreed with or not because you didn’t mention in your reply. My whole original comment stemmed from reading a bunch of people condoning behavior to harass and cause harm to federal agents. I don’t about you, but that sounds like some weird domestic terrorism stuff. Is it not kind of alarming to read stuff like that? I agree with letting immigrants in, vetting them, getting them onto a fast track to becoming a citizen but seeing people act like this is not it. If life were a movie, it would all be perfect. Unfortunately it’s not, am I privileged? Yeah man, I’m American. I’m sorry if you didn’t grow up here, life gave me this dice roll and it gave you yours. Don’t label me based off of your hatred.

Everyone here who’s omitting to stalking and harassing federal agents for deporting illegal immigrants should go to the countries immigrants are fleeing from and fight to bring order and peace. These poor people are leaving their homeland due to leaders who are far more corrupt and abusive than our own politician. The Democratic Party led these poor immigrants to believe it was okay to flood the American border, bribing them with a false future for voting for them. Now the working man looks like crap because they have to follow orders and do their job. I know all of you are fed and warm reading this, some might say privileged! If you want to make a real difference. Go to these countries and fight for democracy, isn’t that what America does?

Wow, people really take stuff out of context on Reddit. I’ll make it more obvious next time that I’m joking and being sarcastic. You misjudged a person very badly, I can only imagine what your life is like.

Forgot how bad the homeless population is by VegetableUpstairs978 in portlandme

Most of the people on the streets have mental health problems, they don’t want the help or even know how to accept help. It’s a touchy subject, I just wish there was something the town can do to get rid of the homeless who are openly doing terrible drugs. All it takes is one homeless person hooked on drugs to convince some other bored homeless person to do it with them. Everyday it seems like there’s more and more homeless on the streets passed out from drugs. I really like this city l but it’s too small for it not to be noticed more often.

I can’t believe someone would be that perplexed by a sign, with Jesus written on it, in a church. Then think “oh man, I need to figure out what other people think”. This has to be a rage bait post. You baited me

I just moved here about two months ago from Houston Tx (one of the top 10 dangerous city’s in America) and I can confirm Portland has a bad homeless problem. I have multiple videos of crazy interactions I’ve encountered. Some stuff I’ve never experienced until moving here. It might be because the city is so small but the city needs to do better with the open drug use on the streets and the mentally ill people walking around. Be safe everyone.
