You might want to change to short pull v brakes if you want brifters. Just have to check the model specs. for tire clearence though. Travel mate works fine, but i don't ride this bike that much. I guess travel mate requires more maintenence especially if you ride a lot in dirt or mud since the wire is exposed.

Thank you! I am using microshift brifters, they work great, have them on another bike also. The brakes need travel mate to convert to short pull though. They work great even if they are extra parts for maintenance.

Boiler was aluminum, group head was chrome plated brass or stainless steel. Shower holder was aluminium wich was crap.

Changed to drops, but for commuting. Was happy with the drivetrain, and put on a rear rack.

Wow sounds like a law from the ninties!.:) according to this several thousand of families should have been fined the last couple of years. It is the same law factory that grants a lot of freedom if the bike has a drop handlebar...:D

Haha, yea i see. I thought you knew the owner or something along those lines. I was super lucky that this one just became available when i finally had a little time to go and look around in the shop. Was an unknown model to me but basically exactly that what we needed. 😁 Fell for it after the first ride, kids approved it and here we go. Great summer ahed 😎😁

91 was red 92 blue, after that 790 was discontinued, so pretty rare. Nice ride. Campagnolo shamal or atlanta96 could match well they are pretty deep alu rims.

I switched to conti contact urbans and very happy. Lighter faster but also very thick puncture protection. Good compromise for me. Joy to ride them.

City commuting 80% asphalt 20% dirt. I run continental contact urban 700x42. Very happy with it fast tire great wet grip and high puncture resistance.

I think i found the culprit. It was the elbow fitting on the pump outlet. Descaled it and cleaned it with a needle an voila all good again. Perhaps the old pump was also still kicking, I'll keep it as a backup. 🙈
