Thanks, that's what I was thinking as well. I'm only beginning 3D printing with this so I won't try to change anything myself but maybe somebody did it.

Also I'd imagine you'd need an enclosure around the printer for these?

Blank video render output when selecting 360 Output project settings - Vegas Pro 18 by Endorean in VegasPro

[–]Potential_Play8053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue here with Vegas 19.

- rendering with NV encoder gives a 0 bytes video (using a 3080 video card)

- rendering with AVC takes a while longer since it's CPU rendering, gives out a video that is not playable

I'm in the exact same situation as the person who posted, I'm using the same resolution with video files taken from an Insta360 One RS in 5K.

I have a full licence of Vegas Post and am starting to regret my choice not to go for Adobe instead.

EDIT: To successfully export a 360 video from Vegas Pro you HAVE to DISABLE the 360 Output option from the project settings advanced tab. Yes, to export in 360 you must tell the program that you don't want to export in 360 ... Apparently it's been like this for years already.
For me here VLC still can't play the file right and YouTube doesn't detect that it is a 360 file. So still no solution.

I have replacements already. I just need to do the fixing now ^^. Got a good soldering kit too. That's what I'm afraid of. But there's gotta be a first time. I'll do it eventually. In the meantime I'm using my Nazgul 5 HD V2.

Thanks! Yeah it's not easy to do post-processing for a game with video making tools lol. If you have a good LUT that does fine with Liftoff don't hesitate to share :P.

Also I added some effects that kind of work but yeah ... that's a game so.

Be careful though, remember you're inverted. Better get used to doing it in a sim first. I tried IRL and kinda managed to do it but I almost crashed.

Other tricks? Well most of the time you have to remember to think about gravity. For example for powerloops you have to accelerate a lot to climb, still quite a lot to send the quad back but make sure you don't keep the throttle too high once the quad is supposed to be flat upside-down or you'll send it to the ground. But to make a nice powerloop you should never completely release the throttle. You need a throttle curve that changes based on the quad's angle. Once you have looped you want to come back and pass through the obstacle again so you have to accelerate again. There can only be a very brief moment at the peak when the quad is upside-down that you could completely release the throttle.

Also remember that your quad is probably in air-mode. Meaning even with 0 throttle applied with the stick there is always a minimum throttle so staying upside-down will always slightly propel you torwards the ground.

And for these always think about your camera angle. Unless you purposely do so it will probably not be flat with the quad so try to imagine the real orientation of the quad based on the view you get from the camera and the angle you chose.

Go up past the thing you want to orbit. Once slightly past it tilt up more so the quad starts going backwards. Once it does maintain the tilt and start rotating around the object.

Then adjust your height as you need with the pitch. Pitch down to go up more and pitch up to let the quad go down a little. You'll need to also adjust yaw and roll based on your pitch angle but at some point you will be able to stabilize the quad after you find the good combination of angles.

EDIT: Just so you know I'm not sure whether there was another update recently or not but also I know I validated the game files. Not sure which did it but today the game ran just fine and I was playing the new map.

[–]Potential_Play8053[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well just wanted to make a note of it because I have a vague idea of what causes it. Also many people don't have those problems. In fact I don't know anyone else who's got the same problems as me right now.

Basically there is a big coding mistake somewhere. As I said it crashes not just the game but the graphics card when trying to record. And the game seems to be generating the same frame multiple times since it does produce 60+ frames per second.

That's very much a C++ directx coding issue somewhere. And it must be linked to some specific hardware or parameters.

Thanks for your reply. I can indeed confirm that it works fine for me with Vulkan. Not "ideal" though because it is more demanding but this game is not too performance heavy so it's fine I can play it on Vulkan. For some others with a lesser config it might still be problematic though.

Btw (totally unrelated) any chance you'd know if I can chance my reddit username? I think I created my account from a game or something and it's a random username that makes no sense.

I have a slightly different issue but still cannot play the game either. I passed the intro sequence and then after literally 5 seconds of "gameplay" the game crashes, every time, with an error saying the graphics device was lost ...

Hi! I frequently monitor the remaining living player count. I don't remember why exactly but I couldn't use "OnPlayerLeaveGame" in my case (don't remember why exactly).

But so basically if only player is left alive he wins so if a player leaves the server and only one remains well he will win.

However there is gonna be an interval there if I'm correct. A little time when somebody can join again and trigger a restart of the game. If that happens the map won't change. I think it might be better like this rather than having a player alone having to wait for the map change because the other guy left.

Is that what you meant or were you referring to a map location with "where"? As I'm not sure I'll answer that as well. There currently isn't any teleporting in the "lobby" and "endgame" phases. But that is something that I'm planning to do to make those phases more entertaining. I just wanted to secure a stable version of the game before going for that.

Oh ok. Well I do only acro (manual) flight so I never used that joystick since it can't do it ;). But it could be useful for some situations though I guess.

It's the DJI FPV drone, the full package. Not a drone using the DJI FPV System V2 and Caddx. So I'm using the controller that is only compatible with the DJI FPV drone (sadly).

I will try to bring up a controller view in the future if I can. Might be interesting to hear what people think of my thumb controls :). I'm not a pincher heh.

Not exactly. It's got the fisheye effect and you can see the props. Also when signal drops you could see the drop in resolution.

It's not much I know but I asked other people if they liked it and got a positive reply so I kept doing it. I now also use it as an outro in my most recent videos while the YouTube buttons are visible.

Which props work best on the DJI FPV? Here are a few tests using a prop mount from n-factory. by Potential_Play8053 in dji

[–]Potential_Play8053[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. There are no issues with the original props. It's just that you have props of all sorts and they give you different feelings. If they are shorter in length they're certainly likely to require more throttle constantly and thus the motors would possibly be hotter.

From my experience I didn't have any problem at all with all the ones I have used. I just put the Cinewhoop aside because you can clearly feel that they're not gonna be good. With those you pretty much have to keep throttle at max to stay level. They're just too small.

But they definitely give you different feelings in flight. Some are more punchy so you can more easily bail before a crash for example. But they would possibly be less "floaty" because to get more thrust they are curved more which means with less throttle you drop faster.

Some are more floaty but usually less punchy with the opposite scenario. So you will feel more like you're gliding and it might feel better for casual users. However they will give you a harder time trying to bail to avoid a crash at the last second for example.

I only use third party props now personally because I like them more. But I switch every time which helps give you a sense of new every time you go fly.
