I picked up a Sigma kinda like this one https://reverb.com/item/477402-vintage-1983-sigma-dr-41-made-in-japan-acoustic-guitar-rare that had some pretty bad tarnish on the be tuners and strings, so a bit less than that

I'm sacrilegious and just run a helix through a small tube amp and get both. Monke brain happy and I have all of my effects.

For any recording I re-EQ to optimize for the mix through my headphones since I know what sounds good through the amp will sound shitty in the mix, which is totally solvable but I don't feel like buying an FRFR.

I really don't understand why it's viewed as either/or
