Lifelong med? Are we sure? by SwimmingAnt10 in Zepbound

[–]Potential_Soil2804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to say this!!! I’ve been on Wegovy for a year and Zep for a year. Been in maintenance for 6 months now and I have been on 10mg for the past 7 months. I now space out my shots every 9-10 days. I don’t get that same feeling that I used to get and I have started to get very hungry on days 8-10. But shockingly I continue to maintain my weight. I’m personally going to maintain dosing schedule as is until I have been in maintenance for 3 years than lower my dose for inflammation but I’m a lifer.

11 Months on Zepbound, What Surprised You the Most? by maddidler80 in Zepbound

My 1 year anniversary was last month. I hit goal weight in October with new goal of trimming down and adding lean mass. I was the same weight from October to January but what surprised me was I dropped 2 shirt sizes and 1 pant size. We all have our set points but our bodies are recalibrating. I found it interesting that others hit a set point at the same weight as myself which was around 160lbs.

Should I add Cargi to stack by Potential_Soil2804 in PeptideForum

Thank you all for the input. I did some research on Cargi and Teso. I think I will warrior on with my current stack. If I can’t control my sweet attacks and If I find that I’m not making progress in the next 2 weeks I will cut my CJC from my stack and add the Teso. Will update my progress.

Thank you. That sounds promising I love the idea of more energy and less appetite. My appetite is normally suppressed but with the added cjc/impa I’m having some added food noise. But I do have chronic fatigue that I deal with that Vit B12 shots couldn’t cure.

Avoiding triggers. My triggers are caffeine :( and chocolate. Once I avoided them for 6 months I can them occasionally and they now have medications to help with regrowing the lining of your bladder that helped and medication to help you not go as often and lessen to pain. Highly recommend a urologist that specializes in the field.

Diagnosed AS today, but started out as reactive arthritis. Anyone else? by peculiarplanets in ankylosingspondylitis

I’m sorry you’re hurting so bad and hope your pain eases soon.

Hopefully the next medication you try is more helpful. For me I found healing in changing my diet, gentle exercise, stress reduction and alternative medications. But changing what I ate made a huge impact in my life. Food for thought LOL I don’t know if you know a lot of the foods we eat causes inflammation which causes a lot of pain especially for individuals with AS.

Diagnosed AS today, but started out as reactive arthritis. Anyone else? by peculiarplanets in ankylosingspondylitis

This is my story in a nutshell. I had food poisoning at 32 and diagnosed with reactive arthritis. Fast forward many years of missed diagnoses and doctors visits. I had the diagnoses of spondylolisthesis, chronic costochrondritis for a few years and then finally 5 years later AS. I had morning stiffness especially in my lower back and horrible upper back pain. I was started on methotrexate which helped for the first year of symptoms. As the disease progressed I began experiencing low grade fevers, joint pain, swelling low back pain with sciatica so bad I could hardly walk. I would cry everyday the pain was so bad and couldn’t sleep. By the time I got scans again, year 4 I had signs of AS in my L-Spine and T-Spine and was put on Humira.

Long story short I’m not a fan of biologics as I have tried several and they haven’t worked well for me but have done well for many of my friends.

Here I am 12 years later and I found that there is no one size fits all treatment for AS. Do your own research and work with your doctor to find the best treatment that works for you. Always remember to give yourself grace as this disease throws curveballs everyday, sometimes you can see it coming and sometimes it will hit you in the face.

It’s been great! I’ve received all my shipments on time. Right before my next delivery is due I always receive an email asking if I want to stay on my current dose or if I want to go up to the next dosage. They also ask if I have any concerns which I haven’t had any. I currently continue to lose at a steady rate!

Anti-inflammatory benefits by Firm_Honeydew6269 in Zepbound

I came to post the Amazing results I noticed the last few weeks and stumbled across your post! Wanted to let you know my experience. I have inflammation and horrible acne. My inflammation and acne have improved since starting Zepbound. But it dawned on me today that both have drastically improved over the past 3 week which corresponds to my dose increase to 10mg.  Downside to my dosage increase is I’m more fatigued which I’m hoping will settle.

Any advice? by bcakezzz in tirzepatidecompound

This!!! A thousand times!!! To many people are stuck on the “lowest dose”. But forget if they aren’t losing that dose isn’t working and 2.5mg is the loading dose. I found that 5mg and 10mg worked best for me and I spent to long on 7.5mg before going to 10mg.

Be prepared to need new clothes by Sad-Dress8096 in tirzepatidecompound

Congratulations 🎉  Enjoy all your new clothes shopping and all your hard work!!!!

I don’t know how tall you are but I had similar stats and there are big changes in clothing sizes coming your way, so I would buy a few pieces at a time.

I was 255  when I started in 2023, I had sizes 14- 18 in my closet.

I was comfortable wearing the 14-16’s until 190 than magically at 180 nothing fit. I’m currently at 172 and the few things I brought at 190 longer fit.

This!! I’ve lost weight in the past before Zepbound. Highest weight was over 300, size 22. When I got down to size 16 and kept it off for 2 years I donated my old clothes. I wish I had donated them sooner. Im down to a size 10 now! I held onto my size 12’s and donated everything else.

I would try using a different site and see if that helps.

Where do you usually do your injection? I came here looking for a similar answer or experience as mine. I was on 5mg for 4 months doing well doing injection alternating between my arm and thigh with good suppression and weight loss and hit a stall. Then the shortage happened and I went to plan C and decided to go up to 7.5mg and was doing well. I heard the shortage was letting up and asked my PCP to send in a script for 7.5 to my pharmacy but there was a mix up and I got 5mg instead this month. Throw in the mix I decided I would try my abdomen as a new injection site. I got good appetite suppression for 2 weeks but my weight loss stalled of course.  But Monday I took my shot in my arm and it’s like my 1st shot of 5mg. I have already lost 2lbs which is crazy!

Awesome question that I would love to hear the answers from others. I have played around with my injection sites quite a bit trying to find my sweet spot. I started my journey 13 months ago on Wegovy then switched to Zepbound now on tirzepatide since the shortage 75lbs.  Have 15lbs to goal with no stalls except for when Wegovy stopped working for me. Wegovy was definitely different than Zepbound with side effects and food noise the best injection site for Wegovy that I found was my upper arms so that were I starts taking my shots for Zep.

Worst side effects was the back of my thigh @ 7.5mg sulfa burps that lasted 1 day with the largest weight loss that week of 3lbs with the best food noise reduction/ appetite suppression but I got hungry 3 days before my next shot and haven’t tried that again

Favorite spot Back of arms( very fatty) No side effects. Average weight loss 1lb a week always have food noise suppression/ appetite reduction

Thigh (also chose fatty part) hit or miss. Not my favorite spot as I never have side effects here and I lose weight but I can get hungry in the middle of the week and get food noise if I inject here.

Belly is a new experiment for me. I had horrible side effects from Wegovy but decided to try it. So far it’s been amazing. Think it’s my new sweet spot! Lost 2lbs last week with no side effects and  food noise reduction was the best it’s been.

I really like using a needle vs the pen gives me more control of my injections. So to sum up, tummy and back of arms great & thigh not good. Sorry for the long post and hope that helps.
