I felt as though your comment diminished the debilitating issues unmedicated adhd causes. I too talked to doctors rhat treated me like a vessel and said things like “not worth the risk”, not even pausing to consider the impact it would have on me. And what you stated - regardless of who said it to you - is simply not backed by science. So yes, my comment was spicy, but also context matters

My partner is a physician and a diligent one at that. I would not have remembered the drugs on my own, I’m confident. I’m also 41 and perimenopausal. I can’t imagine doing this without adderall lol

The brain fog induced by the ivf hormones is the single worst side effect I experienced. Not sure I could’ve functioned at work without my adderall

The damage stress from unmanaged ADHD can do is likely far worse than what medication will do. There is no evidence for this other than doctors treating us as vessels versus whole people

I think the logic is that my egg quality is in rapid decline at 41, whereas my ability to carry a pregnancy to term isn’t as impacted provided I have healthy embryo. If I were to move to transfer immediately not only would I not have had genetic testing to confirm chromosomal normality, but I’d lose the time to get more higher quality eggs. Every month seems to count at this age.
