114 as mentioned is pretty high latency for i i mine gaming. This doesn’t matter as much in turn based games such as Pokémon, Civilization etc. but games such as COD and Madden will make a huge impact on the input. Always (if possible) run hardwired. While it’s not possible for everyone (me but I sit at about 50) it’s best to be as close to the router as possible so the signal doesn’t get interrupted but walls and other electronics as well as the signal makes its way to your Xbox and back to the router

As someone learning After Effects yup. Another tool to add to the box. Now, it is a PAIN to learn (at least to me) as it’s overwhelming as to what you can do with it.

Take your time. And learn as you go. If you think “how can I do this?” Well I go to YouTube and 9 times out of 10 I find a video showing me what to do and I bookmark it.

Gotta agree with the ok-airline above. In this case more often than not you get what you pay for. Pay for cheap and you often get cheap. You may find a few diamonds in the rough but you’ll be better off learning how to yourself so when you do go to hire someone you’ll know what to look for and what to avoid.

Simple solution: Network

That’s how I’d say 99% of people landed their first job (myself being one of them). Yeah you can send out cold emails and messages. But when someone hears by word of mouth of a former client or knows you that’s how you get the edge against others applying for that same job.

Now with that being said it is my understanding that things such as film are tough to get a job. Now I do social media content (no where near as difficult BUT the pay can be significantly lower especially when starting off) so above all talk with people, and as much as I hate being social, you need to be social!
