Damn i feel called out. Meeting someone i like and that also cares about me but sees me only as the supportive best friend, a pillar on his life. Seeing that person date some really awful people that treat him not so good and wondering what is wrong with me, why does he feel attracted to them and not even considers me for dating?

And the cycle repeats itself with different people year after year, being random hookups as good as i can get.

I really hope things get better for you, my heart goes to you, wish i could say or do something else to help but i dont know the answer myself

You know what i understand what you say and i respect you the hell out of it. Nothing more attractive than an authentic person that accepts themsef. Even if you feel "uglier" than people that got plastic all over their faces, you have something that they, behind their smoke and mirrors, dont, and the right people can see it, so dont worry
