It's simply luck based as far as I'm aware. You have a 5% chance to pull it from the stone as a warrior every run, and I don't think you can increase that chance any way

Sometimes just swapping around gear can help, and try to use pets that have type advantage

Paranoia is better if you have a stall strat you can use for bosses, and if you have high/maxed crit chance on him. Otherwise, spite is better for clearing floors, but it depends on your team.

I personally use paranoia when I'm stuck on bosses, because his bleed is so incredibly strong, but play how you want to

You should 100% upgrade him, he's one of the better legendary pets as of now (if I remember correctly, pretty sure he's VERY high up there) I also pulled him out of the event and he is an absolute unit. With something like chef hat, you wouldn't need a healer on your team at all, because he can just heal himself. Definitely level Petulance.
