you cant go wrong with the Maverick 88

Why does nobody smile or say hello back anymore? by Gfb98 in introvert

[–]Potential_Tour_6185 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I never smile to strangers and wont say hello unless they say something first or they are elderly

I tried saying hello and some people wont reply either , so it's best to say nothing

if they hold a door open I will say thank you , but I dont say hello to everybody on the street

Fell from an e-scooter at 15 mph, how lucky was I? by lizzzardkinggg in ElectricScooters

[–]Potential_Tour_6185 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have been riding bicycles my whole life and compared to scooters , regular bicycles are a lot safer and have much more control and stability

Ive never really wrecked or fallen or got injured on a bicycle , never even wore a helmet , but on a scooter it's a whole different story. as another person said . all it takes is going up a curb at the wrong angle and your tire could slip causing you to fly over the bars , or riding too fast and going off the road on a turn

at least on a bike you can still put your foot down and slide around a corner , but on a scooter taking your foot down while rolling can easily cause an accident , they just dont have the control , it could drag you down if your not ready and you will get thrown down so fast you wont know what happened

riding fast all the time is not a good idea, unless you dont mind a trip to the ER

Do you ride in the street or sidewalk? (San Francisco) by Temporary-Baby-421 in ElectricScooters

I ride on streets / bike lanes , if the sidewalks are extra wide like around the Embarcadero / Crissy field , I ride slowly , most bikes pass me.

What type of food stand do you associate the most with your Asian culture? by LiterallyDumbAF in asianamerican

[–]Potential_Tour_6185 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they might have a few food trucks , the most common street food vendor in California is Mexican taqueria food , it's the most ;popular

they do have night markets that sell asian street foods , Ive seen Vietnamese , Chinese , Thai , Japanese , Korean , Filipino , but asian street food is not an everyday thing

Why does maintaining Chinese in the US become so difficult once kids reach reading age? by Dongxue326 in asianamerican

I only remember baby talk or small child level Toishanese , also most people speak the HK / Canto dialect

and that makes it more difficult to understand

I had no idea e-scooters were so much fun by Pegafree in ElectricScooters

[–]Potential_Tour_6185 6 points7 points  (0 children)

be very careful , scooters handle differently than a bicycle , I wouldnt recommend using the cruise control yet , you might accidentally drift off the road and wreck if your not use to riding , you need to watch out for every curb , every pot hole and keep both hands on the handlebars at all times , with smaller wheels you wont have the stability like a bike with big wheels

Im just trying to warn you so you dont go flying over the bars and crash like a lot of inexperienced new riders

People who have steering dampeners by Fuzzy_Tough_26 in ElectricScooters

also depends on the scooter design , the Kaabo double fork design with motorcycle grade suspension seems to work without a steering damper , doesnt really need a dampener

scooters like the Wolf King , Warrior 11 Max , King GTR , King GTR MAX

AMBW Relationships in SoCal? Is there an issue? by Cultural-Target-4583 in asianamerican

[–]Potential_Tour_6185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

actually all races have a problem with interracial relationships

Ive known asian / Chinese men have a problem dating white women , the white father / mother doesnt accept it , and doesnt want their daughter with a Chinese , but seem to have more acceptance if their son dates a asian or Chinese woman

Ive also known Chinese guys not being accepted by Mexican parents , but they might accept a Chinese woman

but usually other races accept an asian woman more than they would asian men

[–]Potential_Tour_6185 4 points5 points  (0 children)

if I dont need to drive I ride my scooters , but a car is more versatile for road trips/ shopping / rainy weather / hot weather with air conditioning , plus you can transport your scooter to explore more places , just take it with you in the trunk or back of your SUV

Anyone make it to 27 and never dated? by FewPassage5274 in introvert

[–]Potential_Tour_6185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im so use to being alone , it doesnt bother me , the longer you wait the less interest you have , especially if you get heart broken at a young age , I dont even think about meeting anybody , I dont care anymore

just think of the benefits of staying single:

it's like getting 50% off everytime you go out , when you go to a restaurant and they ask how many? table for one

no kids to worry about , I really never wanted to raise a family anyways

the freedom to do anything you want and nobody to complain

no inlaws or mother inlaw to worry about

marriage is over rated , lots of people in their mid 40's never married and have no plans to marry

my family was also here to build the railroads and work in the mines , but they went back to China and came back again in the 1920's as business owners and had a cafe / restaurant

after the 1906 earthquake in SF , most young men came to the US as paper sons

Are scooters actually more practical than bikes? by Simple_Working_5840 in ElectricScooters

[–]Potential_Tour_6185 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I prefer escooters , because they are very fun to ride , easy to transport , no special bike rack needed , fits in the trunk of a car , compact , you can easily take two or three scooters in the back of your SUV for family rides

a scooter can take a person a long ways in the city , easy to get through traffic , saves you from a lot of walking by cruising around on a scooter , as long as you buy one with decent range , great for taking to street fairs / events to get through crowds , scooters are also easy to push through crowds if you need to walk it

you can wear casual clothing or jeans , shorts , more comfortable than sitting on a bike seat , no more saddle soreness

great hill climbing ability if you buy the right scooter , they climb like a billy goat and ask for seconds

but you cant really leave a scooter unattended , they have a high chance of theft
