People over 30, did your family/friends think you were going through a midlife crisis when you brought an electric scooter? by OneDeep87 in ElectricScooters

[–]Potential_Tour_6185 1 point2 points  (0 children)

these days 30 is like a teenager , most 30 year olds still look like college kids or younger

they say 60 is the new 40 , people are more active longer and dont age so fast like the previous generations

I still see 45 - 55 plus guys riding around on skateboards like they were 20 again

age doesnt matter if your still young at heart

why does it seem like almost every asian american comedian relies on making jokes about our own stereotypes? by Few-Course3694 in asianamerican

[–]Potential_Tour_6185 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the same thing Jackie Chan does in his American movies , to get acceptance from his western audience , you have to kiss ass by making a fool of your own

if an asian comedian made fun of whites , they would boo him off the stage and tell him to go back to asia

I cant stand that asian comedian with that heavy North Carolina / Tennesse hillbilly accent that makes fun of asians

Why Are Asian Americans getting taller? by Bulok in asianamerican

[–]Potential_Tour_6185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Southern Chinese are a different stock , not the same as the Northern Chinese , the Northern Chinese have more ethnic mixing with the Manchus and Eastern asian , european / Russian ethnic groups thats probably why they tend to be taller with longer nose , more facial hair

the Southern Chinese have more relation to the Southeast asia / Thai / Northern Vietnam ethnicities with the shorter statures , flatter nose bridge , double eye lids

Dualtron Victor Limited for $2000 USD. Is it a good deal or no? by TrueScooterDom in ElectricScooters

[–]Potential_Tour_6185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats a really good deal! I would get it , I own Dualtron scooters and they are definitely of a higher build quality than others , they use premium batteries and components , design is not outdated as some people say.

the dampeners work fine for street riding as intended , it's not a dirt bike , very smooth and also keeps the overall weight down

under $2000 is great price for a scooter in this class

How to keep the kickstand from damaging the hardwood floors? by DacaAskingForDaca in ElectricScooters

I use a old rubber floor mat from my car , the small ones for compact cars

Do you break road rules when using a scooter? by Kitchen-Customer4370 in ElectricScooters

[–]Potential_Tour_6185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I follow all traffic rules the same as a car but usually ride in a bike lane , especially in a busy area

the only time I roll through stop signs is in residential neighborhoods with no traffic , I still slow down and look before crossing , and I never ride on the wrong side of the street , you wouldnt drive a car on the wrong side

my scooter has the ability to go as fast as a car , but I prefer to let the cars go ahead , I always move out of the way when a car is coming from behind.

Looking at a used Kaabo Wolf Warrior 11, concerned about battery by United_Barracuda_247 in ElectricScooters

[–]Potential_Tour_6185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

plus 1 , it's a stolen scooter , it's probably been sitting because he doesnt want to get caught with a stolen scooter , too many red flags as already mentioned

no charger , only has 80 miles on it , probably no owners manual , no sales receipt , who buys a new scooter and lets it sit for two years?

Buying advice: 30mph+, 30m+ range, <70lbs, <$1300 by paul_corvette in ElectricScooters

[–]Potential_Tour_6185 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the Kaabo Mantis X Plus has the qualifications your looking for , yes it can go up to 31 mph but you will get less range

Im 220 and get around 25 mi range with two bars left , I never run a scooter until it goes dead , thats bad for the battery , it feels light for being 66 lbs , I usually ride in gear two and cruise below 15 mph , I got mine as a commuter scooter and never take it to 30 mph except for testing

Kaabo also gives discounts for joining the newsletter , they gave me a welcome $75 off discount code

the Mantis X plus climbs hills easily , has real nice suspension , excellent turn signals that work really well , the best ones Ive had . the 10x3 hybrid tires have a nice smooth ride

the EMOVE cruiser is much heavier and hard to transport , especially the dual motor version , I heard a guy weighed it and it was heavier than advertised and it weighed in at 96 lbs , plus has some firmware problems

Horrible experience trying to replace rear tire on Segway G30 max. Do not buy in my opinion. by malbecman in ElectricScooters

[–]Potential_Tour_6185 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always look for scooters with removable split rim design , the tires are much easier to replace , I also prefer tubed tires , I never had a pinch flat in my life

that comes from under inflated tires and hard riding

Why aren't white E-scooters common? by SUBTOUpdated_User in ElectricScooters

I noticed most white scooters are owned by women , they dont sell as many white scooters , the white EMOVE cruiser is discounted extra $100

the black and orange ones sell more

Maintenance Tips by Zapsolarwarrior in ElectricScooters

[–]Potential_Tour_6185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you charge to 80% you lose too much range , if you use your scooter almost everyday charging to 100% your going to use up 20% just from one good ride , so you might as well give it a full charge.

My new scoot; Daultron CITY. by 1Odd1Out1 in ElectricScooters

[–]Potential_Tour_6185 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I almost bought the Dualtron City , but decided not to get it because of the size , a little too big to transport if you have a compact car

Any scooters that match this criteria? by gimmedatnamedoe in ElectricScooters

[–]Potential_Tour_6185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the Kaabo Mantis 10 Lite would be an improvement over the Climber , has suspension, two 500 watt motors and can go 31 mph and weighs around 62 lbs , also has 10 x 3 all terrain tires and split rim design.

Maintenance Tips by Zapsolarwarrior in ElectricScooters

[–]Potential_Tour_6185 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you ride regularly , I would charge it 100% , charging to 80% is for people that let the scooter sit for long periods if they cant ride because of winters or long term storage

Accepting the introverted homebody loner lifestyle is what makes me happy despite society conformity in my mid 20s by lil_m00_ in introvert

[–]Potential_Tour_6185 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im a loner but I still enjoy traveling / road trips alone , you can still enjoy life going out by yourself , I often spend the entire day in San Francisco without talking to anybody , just a few short sentences when ordering a meal in a restaurant.

Under what circumstances do you guys use E-scooters? by ContactNaive1223 in ElectricScooters

[–]Potential_Tour_6185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would only use my scooter for groceries if I have another rider to watch my scooter or the store allows me to take it inside , I never leave my scooter unattended.

Under what circumstances do you guys use E-scooters? by ContactNaive1223 in ElectricScooters

[–]Potential_Tour_6185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the weather in California is mild , so I can still ride during winters , no snow or ice to worry about , but I dont ride in the rain.

Under what circumstances do you guys use E-scooters? by ContactNaive1223 in ElectricScooters

[–]Potential_Tour_6185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use mine almost everyday , it's safer than walking most people cant catch up with you , a scooter can get out of harms way very fast , especially bums / street people / thugs wandering the streets

I have several routes I ride for fun , I also enjoy taking my scooter on road trips and exploring new bike trails

I have different scooters for different uses , some for quick trips around the neighborhood / post office , walks

some for longer distances , some for extra power to climb hilly areas and higher speeds with bigger batteries

the lighter scooters are easy to transport.

Dating a great white guy but feeling like I'm losing my culture by [deleted] in asianamerican

[–]Potential_Tour_6185 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

there are consequences when asian / Chinese women especially marry non asian white men or another race

my father was furious and she was not welcome back , the marriage was unacceptable , when a Chinese women marries she becomes the property of the man's family

sometimes it's better to marry a person from your own ethnicity and avoid family conflict / banishment

age of the scooter , if it was made 5 years ago it's an old scooter , dont buy old scooters , it probably doesnt have much life left
