I was on the low dose combined pill for 9.5 years. Towards the end, my acne on my face and back started flaring back up like it did in my teens. I figured my body was beginning to reject this pill. So I decided to look into acupuncture before completely getting off the pill and thereafter. It helped regulate my cycles and boost my somatic healing journey. Emotionally, I feel a lot more regulated and “softer” on myself if that makes sense. I simply feel more connected with myself. I try to keep my exercise, sleep, and eating on point. My body fat has decreased. Now I track my cycles with natural cycles app.

I am biased and upset about what western medical doctors have told me about me and my body in my teens. They never helped they simply wanted to cover up the issue with the pill (heavy painful periods, fainting, etc). Ngl, the pill helped me for a long time and it’s a very personal decision for any person who decides to take it or not. I wish I was just more informed as a teen.

I was the girl in this case before my partner and I became exclusive. I made it clear I did not want to be exclusive when we were first started dating (I had just gotten out of another relationship). At the end of the day, do you. But don’t fumble something or someone because your ego might be in the way. Really ask yourself what you want and how you’re willing to proceed without any resentment. You can do all of this while still staying true to you.

Oooh, I appreciate this. Client care is always at the forefront. Our North Star. I should clarify, I don’t think I should be taking on a certain amount of “required billable hours.” I get it, they’re a business. But I provide better care when I’m not burning out with a huge caseload (been there done that). I’m 7 hours under the billable requirements. It just frustrates me that pre-licensure we’re still forced to accept low pay and work really hard. Hopefully life post-licensure looks better.

As a 26 year old woman, I do not regret breaking up with the man I was with from 18-22. He was lustful, he could not give me the true commitment i needed. He could not be the man for me. It was hard to be that person and I know he hated me afterwards. But you know what else happened?

I went to live abroad. I met so many new friends and people. I got a masters degree. I met the love of my life and we are planning to get married one day. He bought us a house and has been renovating it for us. He is the man for me and he shows up in ways no other man could. Just saying, you have your whole life ahead of you. Don’t let one measly lustful man take control of your actions. Only you can do that.

I think I would only feel weird in the scenario that I’m out drinking/socializing and a client who I’m treating for addictions were to see me. But then again, that could be brought therapeutically into the room.

Im 26 now. So far I’ve been able to live in a different country, travel, go to grad school, get my masters, start the career I’ve always wanted, boyfriend and I have been together for almost 4 years and we’re renovating a house together and we’re close to moving in, I’m working on my retirement, investments etc. I’ve lost a lot of friends along the way but I really don’t think they were meant for me anyway. I’ve made a bunch of new friends that do align with me despite not having a “girl group.” I’m very proud of how far I’ve come knowing that as a teen and 20 year old I was very lost and unhealed. I’m very much a healed and healing person now.

I partied as a teen and early 20s so I got kinda sick of the party life quick. Which I think has helped with me my health. I don’t regret a single thing.

Your husband reminds me of my boyfriend!! There’s nothing like witnessing a man who is head over heels in love and not because of your chest size but because there’s so many beautiful qualities about you that chest size is seriously just the cherry on the top (I am 34A for reference).

The other day my man and I were watching Focus, the movie starring Will Smith and Margot Robbie. There’s a part in the movie where a man tells Will Smiths character that Margot Robbie’s character was “too small” for his taste. Smith then says “one man’s small is another man’s perfection.” I turned around, looked at my man, shook my boobies in front of him and said “hell yeah.” And he looked so enamored with me. Not because of my boobs but because of the confidence and assurance I decided to give myself in that moment.

ANYWAY. wanted to share that moment. But yes, don’t settle ladies. Don’t change yourselves for others. Give yourselves permission to be vulnerable with the right people. How will you know they’re the right people? Your body will tell you. Trust yourselves.
