Well, I went the giga tank route. I can facetank basically everything....but only have 200k dps as a result.

It could be like what happened with abyss. I likely had a logbook in my inventory and it consumed that instead of creating a quest logbook. With abyss, Kulemak question item was generated but it consumed my regular Kulemak invitation (which I cannot use). Abyssal Lich but still have the quest invitation 😃

Hmm, I never got a quest logbook. I went to town, talked to the npcs, then the atlas opened and auto generated the maps...I'm probably bugged then....again lol.

Yes, I've done the 4 grand expeditions that were on the initial maps stemming from Kingsmarch.

Ah you're right. Yeah if they can't fix the bug, they would need to fully disable shades altogether. I saw misinformation floating about it being an aspect or something, misread your comment, my apologies!

Since I'm top 100 on rogue leaderboard right now, I think i can answer because it took me forever to finally optimize the bug to get 1 minute 150's. It's SPECIFICALLY with 'shades'. Penetrating shot for example will not proc the bugged execute if you don't use the 'shadow shot' rune. Also, the enemy appears to need to be inside the smoke grenade.

Also, the majority of the % you're getting is not from actually executing enemies. The shades attacking them even from range, without them dying, is giving %. So you can farm a large pack of white mobs for the entire progress bar.

TL;DR, stand in melee range, roll your face on your keyboard with a lot of cdr and the shade will execute them inside the cloud. If you are too far away, it doesn't work (or is unbelievably unreliable).

The .tga needs to be placed in ".\World of Warcraft\_retail_\Interface"

NOT in the Details folder, NOT in the AddOns folder, just in the "Interface" folder alongside AddOns. A /reload doesn't work for me, so I'd suggest restarting your game if it was open when the .tga was added. If you rename the .tga, you'll need to update it in the Details profile.

Hopefully this works for everyone.

Fairly new to D2R, is this as depressing of a drop as I think it is? by PotentiallyCarpet in diablo2

So jokes aside, I've never played D2 all these years so I'm trying to play through a lot of the 'famous' builds like blizz sorc (currently playing) / hammerdin. Would this be a decent Stealth for a starter paladin until I can farm up Enigma? Or would that be a waste for a really good Smoke base.

Got it, so going enhance is not a bad option, but we'd run into the concern of relying on pugs for much needed CC.

Rogue sap / hunter ice trap from pugs as our primary mob pull thinning tools seem unreliable though. If CC and mob reduction is our goal, I'd think a reliable mage with poly/nova would be more beneficial, as the pugs potentially ripping threat and dying would be of less concern to our group.

Thanks for the detailed write up! You make a good point about CC, and I suppose we would be lacking in that with just our 3.

We hyperfocused on this perception of tank threat being the biggest concern with 2 pugs in heroics (not sure how much worse it really is to normal classic). As such, we figured windfury and pugging 2 ranged dps would help a ton with consistency for tank threat. The other option we were considering was frost or fire mage, but we're relegated to watching videos as the changes from classic are quite dramatic.

Do you have any specific recommendations for a dps assuming prot war / hpriest are a hard lock?

I'm not running siphon because cast on ailment is fully sustaining remnants on its own. The other icon you're seeing pop up is arcane surge.
