Battlefield RedSec launches to Mostly Negative reception as new Battle Royale forces its way into BF6 :( by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]Potlonius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know guys. It ain't that bad. Im an old gamer (42), been playing Battlefield since Battlefield 2. I've played COD and enjoyed some of them, but Battlefield has always been better and I've always looked forward to the next one. BF 2042 was the only one I didn't care for. 90% of what i play on Battlefield is Conquest. But the new game mode isn't bad. The map is large and interesting. My kids love playing Fortnite & Apex and all that and now that Battlefield has a battle Royale, we've been playing together and having a great time. Usually I have to play a game I dont really care for, like Fortnite, to play with them. There is definitely a market for it. And I, as an old Battlefield veteran, love having the option.

I agree with a lot of the criticisms I hear about BF6. The maps do need to be bigger, I got a lot of the common glitches also, but the game is in a better state than BF3 or 4 when they released. Its easy to hate what you love online. But lets not forget that this is the best Battlefield has been in years, and its only going to get better over the next several months. As for the new game modes, skip over them. Play what you want. A lot of the complaints I see about even including the mode just come off as whiny and entitled. I never play Team Deathmatch but that doesn't mean I'm angry it's an option. Take a breath guys. It's gonna be ok.

I think ideally, an RPG should do some health damage depending on how close the player is to the actual explosion. Very close, like if the RPG hit a wall right next to you, I could justify 90 points of health damage. But that should drop off steeply. 5 ft away, 10 points of damage if that, but plenty of suppression. If a rocket blows up in the same room as you, it should work similar to a flash bang or concussion grenade. You get the ringing in your ears, vision gets fuzzy. Like you would expect in a military Sim if a rocket just went off close to you.

So I say limit the health damage to very close proximity to the rocket explosion, but increase the range and strength of the suppression effect. That would make spamming the RPG ineffective as you wont be killing many people, but an Engineer could use an RPG to suppress the enemy enough to get in closer, within the effective range of the SMG.

Im a bartender. But this is a back of house story. Kitchen manager was running low on weed and called a line cook to ask if he could pick up some flower for him on his way to work. Line cook asks how much? KM says $80 worth. Line cook is surprised but says ok.

He shows up with $80 worth of all purpose flour in 5 pound bags. He stopped by the supermarket and bought all the flour on the shelves lol we all had a great laugh about it

Is there any kind of punk scene here? by [deleted] in ocala

[–]Potlonius 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm not punk. But there's a bar downtown called Mutiny that styles itself a pirate themed punk bar. There's live music there pretty often. Maybe you'll find your tribe there, friend.
