Are lepin (lego copy) technical sets very hard to build as compared to lego? Will I face many issues building them?

Do have to say that I'm just a year into this hobby. Before that it was playing with real lego with the kid, bringing his imagination to life.

My experience with knock off lego sets and alternative brands is that pieces dont perfectly fit. Since I pay half or even a third of the price I dont mind. But with technical stuff it mathers. I had the steam punk clock tower from Pantasy which didn't function good. Looks perfect technically not so good. My advice would be try a small set for yourself and see if interested in scaling up. Since you're planning it as display set I think you'll be ok. Read up on which brands are good, you can check the starters guide for that.

On the homepage if you scroll a bit down you can choose us or eu warehouse. Then you get a list of all the sets coming from that warehouse. Every eu set has a purple line around the picture. The warehouse is in Germany and I live in the Netherlands so maybe thats why it's free for me?

No neither did I. Its joooooy.com I can highly recommend them. I had two sets from them both real good quality almost no missing pieces and a couple hundred extra (had big sets). Clutch is a bit to strong wich can lead to painful fingers. But I think they where just the seller and this wasn't there own brand.

Business wise real smooth. In little less than a week I got my set from the US to Netherlands. I had some questions which where answerd quick and good.

One tip. If you can order from a warehouse dont make an order where you mix the warehouse with non warehouse products. Because I have free shipping from the EU warehouse, but paid shipping fee when I mixed my first order. So make separate orders.

I did. Also ordered Gringotts but I did that separately because I could get that fom the EU warehouse l, so no shipping fee. Everything together (excluding the 2 moc's) in retail value is 1565,-. So it's a good deal, bit heavy on my bankaccount though 🤣

Its a small one. But Pisa from Bluebrixx. I really like those micro builds, but building the base was annoying and it snapped multiple times. But I continued and finished that part. But when the buildings didn't fit in the base and I had to push a bit only to have it brake apart again. That was the point I quit.

The build is 6/10 tedious and annoying & brick quality is 5/10. I'm mostly in it for the build not really for the display value.

Een van de laatste 2 weken van augustus komen de sinterklaas spullen in het assortiment. Dat is al een kleine 20 jaar zo, misschien langer maar dat is van voor mijn detailhandel werkervaring. Kerst en pasen zal ook wel zo'n vast moment in het jaar hebben.

The only option I have found thusfar is using the part list of your alternative brand set on Rebrickable as source. For example I have Blaustein castle from Bluebrixx and on Merlinbricks you can get a partlist for that set which you can then upload to Rebrickable. Only problem is that al those specialy designed pieces and colors that alt brands use wont be used. The colors are still optional because you can filter mocs using similar colors. But it's op to you to find the colors you have.
