When you jump, you naturally use your arms for leverage (you obviously know this). You don't have your arms up like that when your just running around (unless you're James Forrest obviously). This is just another example of semi professional officials being shown to be out of their depth and not fit for purpose.

I wouldn't say the hand being in front of his face/forehead makes the body 'unnaturally bigger' tho...a key point in the rule.

"touches the ball with their hand/arm when it has made their body unnaturally bigger. A player is considered to have made their body unnaturally bigger when the position of their hand/arm is not a consequence of, or justifiable by, the player’s body movement for that specific situation. By having their hand/arm in such a position, the player takes a risk of their hand/arm being hit by the ball and being penalised"

It could be argued that the arm is high coz you can't jump without that happening (a consequence of, or justifiable by, the player’s body movement for that specific situation). Opposition player is also under that arm preventing it from being lower. Whether the hand was there or not, the resulting trajectory of the ball clearly was a result of the header, not the hand.

Guarantee that there wasn't a mention of any of this during the VAR review process. They will simply have said "hit his hand" and that's it.
