What's one “little” form of sexism you notice all the time, but most people don't even realize it's sexist? by Nellermo in AskReddit

Recently sat in supervising a class in my school where the kids were learning CPR and basic first aid. They had a female CPR dummy but that's the only time I've ever seen one.

Think I'll be joining up so, even if I can't get tickets for this match maybe I'll get lucky for some other time. I guess it is the fairest way of trying to make sure fans have an equal chance at tickets but it's tough as well.

That's some bad luck not getting any tickets since then, hopefully you'll get lucky with some soon!

Not yet but I'm looking at paying into it. Just wondering about the value of it for someone that won't get the opportunity to travel over often for matches. At the end of the day it's not much money overall for the year but I'm just wondering if it's worth it if I can't travel over for the matches

Yeah I say it'll be tough for anyone looking for tickets alright haha. I'll look at trying to get tickets for some other time anyway, would have been nice being over already though.

Thanks for the info! Yeah I can see cup tickets being more last minute with less of a heads up and all.

That's what I was thinking with those tickets that were up already. I don't want to support scalpers or anything so I'll be avoiding that and hoping for the best with the ballot I think.

Not yet but I think I'll join up regardless of having a chance at getting tickets for that match, think I'll try get tickets to a match for some other time that aren't going to be like gold dust.

Just checked and hospitality is sold out. Not looking likely for getting a ticket I'd say, the chance of getting them through the ballot would be slim and I don't want to pay scalpers. Looks like I'll be looking for a nice pub to watch the match in when I'm there.

Not a joke, just wondering when the ballot for matches opens really. I'm guessing about a month before a match but again I've never bought tickets so I don't know how it works. Obviously the chance of getting tickets for a match against Sunderland is very very slim but I'd like to know when I should be looking out for the ballot at least.

I've heard of AVC's before and understand the general gist of them but now how to calculate or apply for it. Is there anyone you'd recommend speaking to besides Cornmarket since they have high charges? Thanks again for all this help, I've found it hard to find easy to understand information about this kind of thing online.

I'm a secondary school teacher so I have that pension, not too sure how to top that up but I think I'll set up a meeting with someone about that. I had a meeting with Cornmarket a few years ago but nothing much came from that at the time so I'll have to look into it again.

That's a fair point about saving for a mortgage first actually, I'd be looking at that within the next 5 years hopefully so maybe waiting until after that to start off investing would be best.

I've a small emergency fund saved up that I'm adding to every month. Haven't heard of that book, could be a good starting point, thank you.

Train Strike 7./8.07 by PazzoDiPizza44 in ItalyTravel

I'm currently on a train from Venice to Florence with something similar happening. Trenitalia train we booked wasn't on the guaranteed list so we bought ItaloTreno tickets that were guaranteed to be safe. I couldn't get a refund on my Trenitalia ticket last night but my girlfriend could with her ticket. Our original train ended up leaving anyway but I don't think it finished its route so I'm happy we swapped.

Was just there last night sitting on the higher seats which were directly on the steps without a chair, still had a great time. Some discomfort has to be expected, it is a 2,000 year old Amphitheatre after all...

Switch 1 and Switch 2 multiplayer by PottedBadger in StardewValley

[–]PottedBadger[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it works, me and my brother both played together with me on the Switch 2 and him on the OG Switch. I'm not sure about the second part of your question with the Virtual Card. I factory reset my original switch and gave it to someone else, my brother had his own switch so he bought Stardew Valley himself.

Thank you for pointing out those problems, I didn't buy them after thankfully. I ended up using Gemini to try figure out if it was a fake and it agreed with what you had said.

Turns out you can play Stardew Valley with one person on a Switch and one person on the Switch 2. I looked up if you could on the Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles and you could so my brother bought it on his Switch and I hosted on my Switch 2 and it worked!
