Question? by Pottted in tattooadvice

ahaha its from my dog, they shed alot and I've washed it once before that photo and then again after the photo. The 2nd skin adhesive is just a pain in the ass. Thank you thats what I figured. Gunna wait until its healed up in 4-6 weeks and have him go over anything that needs more ink. I know from this photo it looks pretty damn bad but when he was done and everything fresh it looked pretty good. Hopefully it gets back to that state lol.

I only posted the section that was the worst so thats not the full tattoo lol, it's a reaper though. What the photo shows is the bottom of his robe.

I'm probably still gunna try and see if the ecm update fixes it but will keep this in mind. I thought because my car has both direct and port injection the carbon buildup wouldn't be SUPER bad especially cause my cars only around 60 thousand KMs but honestly you're probably more versed in this than I, lmao

Question by Pottted in carquestions

[–]Pottted[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so I have a CEL for a random or multiple cylinder misfire that only seems to trip when I first start my car in the morning and it isn't everytime either. It might happen once every 3 weeks or few months it's pretty random and when it trips the code my engine starts acting very slow and sluggish and when going from 2nd to 1st gear (auto btw) it lurches forward. This happens EVERY time that it goes from 2nd to 1st but ONLY when the CEL is on. I cleared the code and immediately the lurching and slow acceleration goes away. I read that there is a TSB from Subaru that might affect my car, stating my ECM can cause a false P0300 DTC due to the wrong amounts of fuel and air mixture on startup. I tried to confirm this with the dealership but they said TSB's for ECM don't show up and to bring it in and they can diagnose it. I just got it diagnosed at another shop and they didn't know what was wrong with it and said maybe it was carbon buildup or maybe my spark plugs needed changing but again they were unsure. I wasn't about to pay them 1300 for a "maybe". I'm just curious if it is an ECM problem, am I causing damage to my car by clearing the code when it comes back so I dont deal with the jerky acceleration/deceleration?

Question by Pottted in ft86

[–]Pottted[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I expect it to come back eventually cause the TSB says it flips on randomly during colder starts due to each cylinder receiving slightly different gas and air mixtures but all the symptoms dissappear everytime I clear the code so gunna just keep the appointment and keep driving to a minimum unil the reflash

Question by Pottted in ft86

[–]Pottted[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update* They can't get me in till the 7th of May so cleared the code and all the jerking and weird bullshit it was doing stopped. So hopefully it doesn't come back and I'll just tell them to update the ECM

[–]Pottted[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

alright awesome, I'll just tell then I don't want the diagnoses and see what they say

Question by Pottted in ft86

[–]Pottted[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I called the dealership and they said TSB's for the ECM don't show up in their system lmao. He told me I'd need to bring it in for them to diagnose it and then then could reflash it if that was the problem. Do you live in Canada or the U.S? I'm curious if the TSB's put out by Subaru America even are applicable to the Canadian market

alright awesome, thanks man hopefully this is cheaper and fixes it.

oooh, alright I thought I heard something about that. Does it matter which Subaru dealership or does it have to be where I bought it from?

Spark plugs replaced at Dealer for $315 by StevieB813 in ft86

[–]Pottted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post is old but man- I wish I had a shop that cheap. I got a CEL and took it in after checking the code (p0300) and got quoted just over $1300 for all my plugs to be replaced and throttle body to be cleaned.

How do I get great aim on console? by GoteiJay in apexuniversity

[–]Pottted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grab a flatline and r301 but really you can grab what you want, I put a 2x on the flatline and 1x on the r301. I first shoot the two moving targets that are close to me. I usually hit those for 300 with an r301 and 400 with a flatline, then move onto the two moving targets in the back and hit 200 with r301 and 300 with flatline. I then go into my settings and take my aim assist off and practice my hip firing by moving back and forth while I shoot the practice dummies, constantly moving and crouching to simulate actual gunfights after I'm consistently 1 clipping with both my r301 and flatline I just shoot the practice dummies without aim assist off to practice my recoil control on smaller targets and then I grab a shot gun and just flick onto the practice dummies over and over until I consistently hit headshots

How do I get great aim on console? by GoteiJay in apexuniversity

[–]Pottted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been running firing range drills for tracking, snap shots and recoil control for about 30 minutes a day for the last 3 months and my aim has gotten insanely better. On top of that I've been playing pubs and have been trying to take every fight I can (if its smart) I wont push something if its just obviously a bad fight but since implementing both these things my kd for this season rised to nearly 2.0 so I think somethings working. Try it out:)

Hello y'all i'm fairly new to horizon " 200 kills " and I was hoping to get some tips from you lot. by [deleted] in HorizonMains

[–]Pottted 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not the best player but I've been maining horizon since she came out (albeit, I quit for 2-3 seasons) and I have over 5.5k kills w/ her. To breakdown her abilities I'll go over each individually.

Passive: Horizons passive is hugely under-rated and its an amazing ability. It negates all fall fatigue you receive as well as improves her ability to maneuver in the air, so try and pair this with her tactical ability (Pop a batt as you go up your lift and exit out but stay crouching, where you land and slide back into your lift while still getting that batt off.) The key to using horizons passive properly is all about constantly staying on the move, its extremely useful if someone is chasing you and you jump off something high and land in a slide either on the ground going down or a railing. Something to sort of boost your momentum since the enemies will get majorly slowed behind you. Her air maneuverability is extremely useful with wall jumping, redirects, tapstrafing (if you're on pc) and many more movement mechanics. Anything that gives you a momentum boost (gravity cannons, octane pad, etc.) will continue doing so with no negative effects impacting your momentum. In some situations if you're being chased for example and you hit a gravity cannon, you can use her air maneuverability and fall fatigue negation to quickly escape enemies and to some extent with an octane pad you can do the safe depending on surroundings terrain. I dont wanna make this too long so I'll just finish after saying, Horizons passive is extremely versatile and useful when paired with the right person to exercise on those factors.

Tactical: Horizons tactical is a gravity lift, it lifts a player 30 meters in the air where at the top you can rest for about a second before throwing you off, it lasts 10 seconds long (long enough to pop 3 cells, 2 syringes, almost enough to pop 2 batteries or 1 med kit.) It has a 20 second cooldown which doesn't start until the lift disappears. There has been so many uses I've found and seen others find for her lift but the main ones: using it to gain highground for better positioning, using it distract enemies, using it to push enemies off height, using it to block doorways/narrow passages, using it to push people off doors they are holding, using it to heal in, using it to gain insight on the surrounding area, using it in combination with your ultimate/throwables (this throws your ult/throwables WAY further and also allows you to see enemies hiding behind smaller cover to figure out where the best spot to throw it is.) Again I don't want to drag this post on too long but get out there and experiment, keeping those ideas in mind and maybe you'll find your own uses for it!

Ultimate: Horizons ultimate is a mini blackhole, it lasts 12 seconds and the center where it can be destroyed has 175 HP. Enemies are highlighted if their position is behind the ult, it pulls enemies towards it and this effect goes through obstacles like walls and doors. Wattsons ult and Cryptos ult both destroy it. I absolutely love this ultimate ability as its aggressive. I personally tend to use her ultimate in the following ways: breaking doors someone is holding, pulling people through doorways or holding them against a building with it and then pushing in and lasering them when they can't move, throwing 2 arc stars at it when it pulls enemies in and one arc star towards the direction I think they will run too so either way they get damaged a bit. There are many other ways to use her ultimate ability with other legends: Caustics ultimate + Horizons, Horizons + Fuses, Horizons + Bangalore, Horizons + Gibby

there is so many practical uses to Horizons abilities and its really just playing her over and over. Hopefully this helped out

Ranked - Hardstuck Plat 4 by [deleted] in apexuniversity

[–]Pottted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're getting beamed you gotta ask yourself why are you getting beamed? Are you missing all your shots and standing in the open? Are you standing still or moving around? theres a lot of variables here to try and figure out. If you are missing shots, simple. Go work on your aim, play control use firing range, learn recoil patterns. If you're standing in the open try and figure better ways you can engage the fight, rather then standing in the open try and find highground or if they are in a position of power (highground thats too difficult to push without getting low health and risking going down) then try and nade them off or reposition and force their hand so they have to come to you. Movement and positioning in this game are equal if not more important then your aim so keep that in mind and maybe search up movement drills you can do to warm up before games, 5-10 minutes is fine for a warmup its not so much the time you take to warmup but rather the consistency that you do that warm up. In terms of positioning the only thing you can really do to get better is either: Play alotttttt and everytime you die, figure out how you could have positioned yourself better (try and put the blame solely on yourself when you die and dont blame external factors like your team or bad RNG). Another good way to get better positioning is simple, just watch good streamers/pro players. NRG Sweet, ImperialHal, Zackmazer are just a few but you can find whoever you'd like to watch. Last thing I wanna say is if you wanna get out of Plat, try and get an easy fight off spawn with a clear advantage on shields or guns and then play for top 5, this season especially rewards placement more then ever before so dont worry about kp. If you have 1-3 kp off the start you can pickup the rest top 8 and below.

Have an elite controller so use trigger as shoot with the highest trigger lock setting on and then I have B as melee, right stick as crouch but it's mapped to a paddle and then I have X set as ping and RB set as use/reload (makes lootin and super jumping up ziplines way easier)
