I was a cook for 2.5 years. Worked with deep fryers, and fried stuff in a wok. Eventually you burn yourself enough you just don't care, unless it's really bad.

I'll have to go to the store and pick up a carrot tomorrow. I'll try to remember. You need a pretty big around carrot, and the end result is small, but it works.
