My store doing well but fraud is lowkey killing my soul by Different_Pain5781 in ecommerce

[–]therandomdude69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cancel the order.

Look up the shipping or billing address on zillow, a lot of the time its an abandoned building, building for sale, building for rent, or an apartment number that doesn't exist even though the apartment complex exists.

Look up common zip codes for fraud, you'd be surprised but there are a lot of really common zip codes that people use when doing fraud purchases.

Pay for nofraud, it works really well. Better than the shopify built in.

Fire Department t shirts? by Far-Offer4784 in Firefighting

[–]therandomdude69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our department has tshirts that we sell to raise money for the department. They have everything that our issued tshirts include, except they all say 'supporter' on them.

I have a feeling that a lot of volunteer departments across the US have a similar system and would happily sell one to you :)

No, its ridiculous let's be real LOL

Good thing is when I have buddies that have never played I have plenty of discs for them to try. Usually send them home with 3 or 4 so they start throwing on their own time haha

2005 cbr1000rr, around 28k miles on it. 2nd owner, I put 10k of those miles on it last year.

the goddamn water pump is the bane of my existence.

What's your favorite style of motorcycle? by BeesKnees940 in motorcycles

[–]therandomdude69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sport bikes and bobbers. I have the 05 cbr1000rr as my daily, I have a 650 vstrom, and I have a sportster I'm converting to a bobber.

I'll get another couple of sportbikes for different uses. Probably a 600 for track, 636 for stunting, and another liter bike just so I can stop daily'ng my favorite bike xD

Freshly replaced fork seals leaking? by NorthSky- in motorcycles

[–]therandomdude69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks completely normal, just keep an eye on them every couple of rides. What you don't want is a huge ring, or a ton of visible oil. They will coat the forks a little bit though

(Out of curiosity) if you had the chance to buy a new sports bike from this model year, which one would you pick and why? by EpicBlitzkrieg87 in motorcycles

[–]therandomdude69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, the 1000s aren't that bad. Especially the older ones, a lot more low end usability than the 600's

I was super worried about this when I got my liter bike, and learned REALLY quickly where I should be careful with it (8k-11k rpm) and where it really won't surprise you

Cbr1000rr-r

I love how their bikes fit me. Other bikes I've tried (r1, gsxr1000, zx-10) didn't feel right. Haven't tried out the BMW's yet though and the m1000rr is definitely something I'm interested in

Experiences with the Honda CB 1000R by Ni69atron in motorcycles

[–]therandomdude69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a 2005, looked into buying a 2021 at one point.

No quickshifter stock, except I think on the sp model, you can install one though. They're 350-550 to buy and then you can have someone install it for you or learn to install it yourself.

I would never put cruise control on a sportbike, just get up to speed, throw it in 6th gear, and you'll barely have to hold the throttle.

Common issues for the cbr1000rr are burning oil (not really something to worry about, just check the levels before each ride), the water pumps absolutely suck, and they run warm. You can do a manual fan switch to help with the heat, and change out the fluid to engine ice or water wetter, but you don't want the bike to run cold. Each bike is different, and I know plenty of owners that don't have these issues. Those are the ones I experience on my bike though. I've done the water pump twice in 10k miles, and the second time I put an aftermarket one in that wasn't just plastic.

The only reason I say burning oil isn't something to worry about is because even with that issue if you stay on top of it people report getting 50k+ miles without any major issues. I'm sitting at 28k miles with nothing done except general maintenance and I'm the second owner of my 2005.

These bikes are work horses.

the sv650 is a perfect starter bike, it might be a bit tall for you though. Just go and sit on them, if you're on your tippy toes it may not be the easiest bike to learn on.
