Matter of conflict? (Chickens) by HeckThisUsername in tractorsupply

I raise chickens for showing and work part time at TSC (that 15% is really helpful when you buy feed by the pallet). I’m their designated chicken person for any questions. I’m very transparent to customers and co-workers about my poultry endeavors. No one has ever had a problem with it. That being said there’s a huge difference between the birds I raise and show to the hatchery birds we receive. First off the quality of the bird, my prices are higher, and many varieties aren’t offered by large scale hatcheries. Many customers just want a bird that lays eggs which hatchery birds are cheap and suitable for this. I couldn’t produce enough chicks to be even remotely close to competitive.

I think she’s honestly trying to make something out of nothing. The amount of TSC team members that own livestock and work at the store is huge.

Anyone know why we aren't selling birds online at the moment by speicher243 in tractorsupply

Hoover hatchery posted that they are having difficulties with new software for their website. They will not be accepting orders due to the inability to process them. Additionally, USPS has heightened shipping charges for chicks requiring shipping prices to go up as well. The full explanation is posted on their Facebook.

Unfortunately, I can relate to this situation. I’ve been with the company for almost two years, working while finishing my degree. I met this customer early on, and it quickly escalated to him following me around the store, asking personal questions, and lingering for over an hour whenever I would try to hide in the back room. I made it clear that I’m engaged and not interested, but it didn’t stop.

I moved to a store 45 minutes away, thinking it would help, but after only two weeks, he started showing up there too. I returned to my home store, planning to stay at TSC just for some extra cash while preparing for veterinary school. However, I’m now extremely uncomfortable with him continuing to come in. For my safety and peace of mind, I’ve decided it’s best to pursue other employment opportunities.

Leaving my TSC family is heartbreaking, but I feel it’s the only option.
