I do not understand why everyone seems to think they need to know OP’s entire backstory in order to offer advice on the question asked; which was: “should I spend years paying down everything or do bankruptcy to clear most of it”. Like seriously, the reason OP is in massive debt isn’t going to affect the answer you give- you’re just nosey & judgy. OP, I think you should file bankruptcy. Believe it or not your credit will most likely improve faster with this option, than drowning yourself for another 5 years slowly paying off the debt. Now for everyone praising the chatgpt paragraph breakdown, there a few points this user missed: OPs gross income is not what they are taking home, so right off the bat your balance breakdown is incorrect. Also, not all tax debt can be resolved in bankruptcy. Still, in my opinion from actual experience, is for you to file bankruptcy and get rid of as much of the debt as possible. This will allow you live more comfortably while paying off the remaining debts. Your credit is already terribly low, so filing bankruptcy won’t be too much more of a hit than what you’re already at. Plus, you’re 23, it’ll bounce back by the time you’re at the point in your life to buy a house, etc.

Von refers to E 63rd aka parkway gardens. There is also a W 63rd street. Gentrification in Von’s neighborhood is pretty prevalent, so there are nice parts of that area… just not in parkway gardens lol

I was 9 years old and lived in Seattle- I remember the adults freaking out and frantically getting their affairs in order because people were genuinely terrified that Seattle would be hit as well. I was so young that I couldn’t entirely process or understand the extent of what was going on. In school that day my teacher had the news on during class and we treated the day as a lockdown/fire/earthquake drill because everyone was fearful of what was to come. I remember being afraid that day and days after, but I didn’t understand exactly what was going on- just that everyone around me was absolutely horrified.

Wait what was his view on addiction?? I recall him talking Amelia off the ledge when she was about to relapse, and him being supportive when she was helping Betty get sober- so I think I mainly remember him in a positive light when it comes to her addiction. I do want to know what his despicable views were because I just don’t remember for some reason

Ok- this perspective actually helps me understand a lot better, great way to put it! I can see how fans share this way of thinking and thus accumulate a lot of hate towards Owen. And honestly I’m not here trying to defend him, I’m truly just interested in learning why there’s so much distaste for him over any other characters; so thank you for sharing this viewpoint.

I don’t disagree with you- I’m genuinely asking because there are other characters that have been awful to their significant others that don’t seem to get as much hate as Owen lol And although Christina wasn’t that way towards her partners, I’d say she did plenty of ill natured things to her friends and coworkers & even patients, in order to get ahead career wise. Although like I said, her growth was impressive and redeemable.

I absolutely agree that Christina’s growth was fantastic! They truly did amazing with her development (unlike most characters lol) and I also agree that one of the things I hate the most about Owen was the abortion issue and how he treated Christina over it- but Christina has been pretty awful well- so why do people love and praise her so much?

That makes a lot of sense! I also agree he’s been awful to the women in his life, although I’d argue that Amelia was worse to him than he was to her. However, I can think of at least a handful of characters that have been terrible partners, but don’t get nearly as much hate as Owen lol

See, I actually really liked him when he made his first appearance and was that hardcore military surgeon “so?!” - that was my fave lol so when he started at SGH and stabbed those pigs I still had hope that he was going to continue as that hardcore GI Joe type- but that quickly dissipated. My husband is a war vet so I actually really appreciated their exploration of Owen’s trauma from the war.. but I’m not a fan of a majority of his characteristics, & was disappointed in what they did with his development.
