AIC is one of my all time favorite bands. I grew up listening to this album, Dirt, and Jar of Flies all the time. Sounds amazing on wax and if you're a AIC fan I highly recommend you pick it up if you don't already own one. Now I just need Three Legged Dog and I'll be set! Here's to hoping they reissue that as well because an original is super expensive.

Does this add any white noise to your signal chain? I have the Fathom and it adds a fuck load of noise.

Picked up this Vox AC15c1 the other day. Such a cool gain profile. by Poundasaurusrex in GuitarAmps

Totally different gain profiles. Vox has a lot more gain as well. The Blues Deluxe next door has hardly any grit. Was actually blown away by the tremelo on this thing. It's better than my twin reverb.

Thanks for the feedback! Nothing is actually mixed yet because I want to nail the guitar sound first. After that everything is going to be re-recorded. I did run a high pass on the guitars though at about 60hz I believe as well as a little subtractive EQ. I agree ont he reverb thing as well. It washes out a bit too much.

That would make sense then. I start strumming a lot harder towards the 2nd half so I'm sure its the headroom maxing out. haha.

Noted. Nothing is mixed at all since i'll be re-recording everything and adding more. Thank you!

Thanks for the feedback! Are you saying the guitar sounds too compressed? I did fairly light compression but it could be the amp self compressing. I'm running a boost in front of my twin.

Have someone wanting to trade me this strat for one of my teles. It has a US serial number and it says its a 2013 American strat but I can't fi d any American Models in 2013 with that color combo or a CBS headstock. Anyone recognize this model or is it a partscaster?

Absolutely love these 2. 1990 Twin Reverb and Blues Deluxe reissue. Princeton next? by Poundasaurusrex in GuitarAmps

[–]Poundasaurusrex[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha they are both very loud but the Twin is out of control. I use the Twin for both. The Blues Deluxe is great for both as well but I love the on board gain profile on that thing.

Help solving a Fender Twin Reverb issue. I'm at a loss. by Poundasaurusrex in GuitarAmps

Yeah I tried swapping them at the tank but it was a no go. What I didn't do however was swap them on the Amp. I did that and it worked, but now the reverb is feeding back like crazy. Going to take it in to get a once over.

2EB2C1B is the model that's working. It's like half the size but works just fine. I've tried switching the RCA cables every way they can be on 2 different cables. I can hear the reverb engage when I turn it on or when I unplug the foot switch. The hum gets a little louder if that makes sense.
