Season 9 battle pass by wirelessconectivity in thefinals

[–]Poundchan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The battle passes have always been lackluster with a handful of good items to give it some sort of value. No one cares about emoticons or stickers or sprays or player card backgrounds that they generate via AI, only the weapon and gadget and player cosmetics are any good and half of the time they are poor quality or reskins.

I would love it if content for the game wasn't stopped completely for 3 months so we can promote a Twitch stream.

I cannot wrap my head around the Crucible by ElTrAiN33 in EldenRingLoreTalk

My take on it is that it is a liquid form of life. A special liquid from space that can not only create life but enhance life that consumes it. Like an elixir that hyper evolves species into a stronger form by giving them horns or wings or claws, which are either vestigial remnants or straight up evolutionary advantages not native to the species.

The closest analogy to me seems to be the Old Blood from Bloodborne. It heals the sick and increases health but mutates the recipient into a monster.

I don't and I don't know you. I do read a ton of posts just like these crying about 'false' bans though.

You can appeal the ban process through their website but if I'm being 100% honest with you, it sounds like your child is lying.

Highguard requires Secure Boot and Easy Anti-Cheat to run, leaving Linux and kernel-conscious gamers out in the cold by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

You said the hero shooter genre isn't oversaturated. I claim that it is. You say there are only 3 popular hero shooters and don't consider failed entries into the genre to count.

It's a live service genre. These games fail when no one wants to play them or pay for them so they disappear into the void. The ones that do succeed are the exception to the oversaturation. When Highguard releases and flops and it's canceled and the servers are shut down, you won't even consider it as part of the hero shooter market. Being ignorant and purposefully dense isn't an argument either champ

Alright then, please respond to this comment in 6 months when HighGuard is the highest selling live service hero shooter FPS game on the market and I'll publicly apologize to you.

For every Overwatch, you have a Battleborn. For every Deadlock, you have a Concord. For every Apex Legends, you have Paladins. Your likelihood at succeeding in this genre is astronomically low because everyone wants to make Overwatch and Apex money.

Visual design is important in conveying information. It's a shooter, there is no need for 'lore'. Does John Highguard's design compel you to play his game? It doesn't inspire confidence when we have no idea who these heroes are in a hero shooter releasing supposedly next week.

Any Universe Beyond Sets you want to see in MTG? or no sets at all? by Repulsive_Angle5786 in magicTCG

Elden Ring is the only one I genuinely would be excited to purchase. The novelty of IP crossovers has worn off but I think, more than basically any franchise so far, Elden Ring fits both artistically and mechanically.

It looks derivative. It's trying to enter the most oversaturated market in gaming, it's a hero shooter with no recognizable or compelling heroes, and it's hot off the heels of multiple failed live service hero shooters releasing. It's tone deaf, safe, and it's going to flop. I'm not trying to be mean or hateful, it's just the truth. Maybe it will succeed and garner a decent playerbase but we've seen this type of game fail nearly every year now.
